SPERLING SPRINT UPDATE

May 12th marked the 18th anniversary of the Sperling Sprint and it turned out to be another successful fundraiser for the school. We were able to raise $6046.30. this year! The sun made an appearance on the day of the Sprint and students, parents and teachers were able to complete many laps around the course with smiles on their faces. The division with the highest total of money raised was Division 20. A pizza lunch will be coming your way soon! The stu-dent who raised the most money in the school was Janelle Mendez. Her hard work won her a $50 gift certificate. Kayla Au and Nathan Luk were the winners of a random draw and will both be receiving a $20 gift certificate. The Sperling Sprint organizing committee would like to thank and recognize the efforts of the many people who made this possible. A big thank you goes out to the Sperling families for being so generous and working so hard on fundraising. We would also like to thank the parent volunteers who helped on the day of the event. We would not have been able to run the Sperling Sprint without their time and effort. Thank you to PAC for donating freezies to all our Sperling Sprinters!

(Creative with the art therapy approach with English translation, so students learn easily.) Language is a criti-cal foundation for children to expose to the rich and di-verse culture and to embrace multiculturalism. As Chi-nese language and culture are seen to be getting more important to the world, we are equipping the students with skills and knowledge which they will find im-portant to their lives in the future. Also, it is fun that the kids learn with their friends at their own school. The most important aspect is to learn to be a positive person.
