THE PRIMARY SECTOR
• The primary sector in Spain employs four per cent of the people.
• Primary sector: products of nature are obtained:
• Agriculture.
• Livestock.
• Fishing.
• Logging.
• Mining.
NONRENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES
• Coal has been replaced by oil, some are even open mines in Asturias and Castilla-León.
• Oil, which is the most used.
• Natural gas is exported from Algeria.
• Uranium, used in nuclear power plants, and only extracted in Salamanca.
SECONDARY SECTOR• In the secondary
sector is responsable for transforming the natural products obtained in primary sector or semi-processed products in factories.
• People who are engaged in this sector are twenty –eight per cent of the people in the working population.
• MAIN ACTIVITIES
• Energy production: hydraulic, thermal, nuclear, wind, solar panels.
• The consumer indutries: food industries textile, automobilie, metallurgy ( machines, appliances).
• Construction: Construct building, roads, airports, dams.
TERTIARY SECTOR
• The tertiary sector offers servicies to the population.
• In Spain, occupies the sixty-eight per cent of the population.
• Its activities are:
• Transport.
• Trade.
• Education.
• Health.
• Tourism.
• Banking.
• Administration.
