RCT/ D&D support at the 100K area demolition project. RCT job coverage was performed during the demolition of the exterior of the Reactor and Ancillary buildings. Radiological surveys included sampling for beta, gamma, alpha, tritium and carbon-14 analysis in support of building characterization and projects. D&D support involved RCT support for asbestos removal, heavy equipment operations, de-con and hazardous waste removal. I also supported the U-Canyon Demolition project. This involves RCT support for all phases of work in the preparation and support for grouting activities in the lower levels and inside the canyon cells at the 221U-Canyon facility.

DOE Funded Project 2009-2010Senior Health Physics Technician (NRRPT/3.1) 5/09-1/10Dade-Moeller Technical Services Nevada Test Site Mercury, NV.

I was part of an RCT team representing the NsTec RadCon department supporting UGTA drilling project sites for tritium. RCT support was also included for Well-Logging, which involves rad-material control of accountable sources. I prepared water samples for tritium analysis, loaded samples in Liquid Scintillation Counters, documented survey results and prepared reports for immediate transfer of information to project manager and the state of Nevada if levels exceeded reportable values. Performed free-release surveys for tritium on tools used in wells. Drilling was conducted through known aquifers that supplied drinking water to local municipalities._________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

DOE Funded Project 2008-2009Senior Health Physics Technician (NRRPT/3.1) 10/08-2/09Carl Services National Institute Science and Technology Boulder, COI provided RCT recovery support on a project at the NIST Lab in Boulder, CO. I was part of a teaminvolved inthe radiological clean-up, recovery and free-release effort from a plutonium spill that occurred in June 2008. We have collected radiological data that has been used to assess and develop the (Radiological Survey and Sampling Plans (RSSP). Final Status Surveys for the affected areas has been developed and implemented. We have been careful to properly decon, perform adequate surveys and free-release important and expensive equipmentworth millions of dollars. __________________________________________________________________________________________

Senior Health Physics Technician (NRRPT/3.1) 03/08-4/08Bartlett Nuclear FPL Energy/ Turkey Point Nuclear Plant Homestead, FL

RP Containment Duties include: Dedicated RP support for the Painters group removing/resurfacing the coatings (floor) which were highly contaminated. My efforts on this project contributed to preventing contamination events by ensuring tent integrity, proper dress and undress with PAPR and additional outer wear use and ensuring that proper engineering controls were employed. I was also tasked to support the Sump Modification project which involved the cut-out and removal of the RHR lines. Prepping, welding and attaching new lines, grouting and core boring under the Transfer Canal were a part of this project. Ensured proper High Radiation, Hot-Particle and Engineering controls were in place. RP job coverage was also provided for Reactor Coolant Pump insulation replacement, ISI inspections including the Hot Leg/Cold Leg penetrations near the vessel core and Pressurizer Vessel repairs at the Heater Elements. My efforts on this project contributed to a safety recognition award for the project group by Plant Safety for maintaining a clean working environment, securing welding lines at the radiological boundaries, and maintaining a diligent effort in de-con and general housekeeping support. RP job coverage support was also provided for the replacing and installation of the Heater Elements inside the Condensation Storage Tank. I was able to provide the appropriate radiological set-up for outdoor temporary RCA Tent Enclosure and CA area boundaries. Steam Generator/Reactor Head Replacement outage: Health physics support include Locked High Rad and High Contamination controls during scaffold erection, insulation removal, interference removal, transport of the vessels to the Mausoleum and installation of the vessel components. I initiated an ALARA idea that was accepted and used by our HP staff to reduce dose and personal contaminations. A trip ticket was designed to challenge each work crew on how they could reduce dose and prevent contamination events for each task. This program has shown immediate success and is helping us to reach our outage dose goals and reduce personal contaminations.

I am also involved in the T-Building project, collecting alpha/beta measurements, using the Ludlum 2350-1 data-logger and using the MARSSIMS methodology to complete Final Status Surveys.
