EDITING MY MAIN

COVER IMAGEWhat I did

Page 2: Editing My Main Cover Image

Firstly…

I removed the background

of the image so when I put

it on my front cover it will

be the same rather than

the background of the

image.

HairI selected a new layer and choose the eyedropper tool

to select the colour of her hair. I choose the brush tool

and painted over it, using the layer options at the side I

selected divide. When opacity was 100% it looked like

this so I lowered it to 18%.

Doing this to the hair adds highlights

to the hair and makes it look healthier

and shinier.

SkinI created a new layer and named it skin. I selected the

eyedropper tool and clicked on her face to select the same

colour. I choose the brush tool and set it to overlay, I turned

the opacity down to 29% so it still looked natural, I went

over all the skin. Doing this makes the skin look a lot

smoother and fresh. It gets rid of blemishes.

EyesFor the eyes I selected a new layer and names it eyes. I

selected the colour black and then the brush tool. I

changed the brush tool to overlay and painted on the eye

lids, making them black, I changed the opacity to 29% so it

wasn’t too much. Doing this made the eyes look darker and

more dramatic.

BottleI blurred the bottle label as it is a copyrighted brand. To do

this is duplicated the background layer then I went on filter,

pixelate and then crystalise, I clicked okay so all the image

went pixelated. Then I used the rubber tool to remove all

the pixals except for on the bottle label. I decided it didn’t

look pixelated enough so I did this again on another layer.
