Editing ProgressIn the process of editing we have changed a number

of shots etc. in our production which produces a better opening sequence that obtains fluency and

makes more sense.

Adding and removing shotsThe first shot we remove is the long shot of Arabella walking down her road. With this particular shot we felt it went on for too long and there was no need for the shot. Instead we have decided just to use the medium close up , which fits perfectly

with the voiceover. Also the tracking on the long shot was very unstable and when stabilising it on final cut pro, the

frame of the shot became even more unstable.

After Arabella falls over, we have added a

medium close up shot which clearly states

Arabella’s expression of shock and annoyance. This shot also adds to

the humour of the production.

We have also filmed more footage of Arabella on her

skateboard and added a shot of a slight high angle. These extra shots allow more time and space for Harriet to talk and for Arabella to react to

Harriet through facial expression.

We have also removed the shot where the camera becomes Arabella’s eyes because the angle of the camera and the

actual shot didn’t look right and it proved to be too difficult. In the end we decided the production would look better

without it.

Also the shot where Arabella says ‘Bye ‘ we have removed due to continuity issues and the scene not

making sense. Instead we are dubbing in ‘Bye 'into the shot before.
