    Qualitative methods of evaluation normally include face-to-face contact, interview and

    observance techniques which reveal qualities about the subject that give insight to behavior

    the qualitative approach uses informal procedures and methods to document comple& and

    e&tract significance of data collected through population sampling, empirical testing, calculating

    survey responses, etc.

    )t would be appropriate to use a quantitative method when grading student*s grasp of

    curriculum in current or previous learning activities. Qualitative methods could be used to

    survey or interview students on the difficulty of the test on the curriculum or surveys on the

    clearness or ambiguity in the way the questions were posed. +rades can be number crunched to

    mae statistical inference while opinion about the tests could be evaluated for common themes in

    understanding(misunderstanding the questions on the test.
