Energy dCi Engine

Double the performanceThe Kangoo engine benefits from the best in modern technology. It consists of variable geometry turbocharger (dCi 75 hp, dCi 90 hp and dCi 110 hp) and variable geometry turbocharger ENERGY engines (ENERGY dCi 75 hp and ENERGY dCi 90 hp), thus offering a large range to meet everyone’s needs. With Stop & Start technology and the new regenerative braking system (Energy Smart Management), Kangoo achieves fuel economy of up to 67.3mpg* helping you to minimise fuel costs.

The variable geometry turbocharger allows for flexible driving and instant pick-up, even under load, all the while giving more power at high speeds. Derived from Formula 1, the regenerative braking system helps charge the battery when decelerating, recovering energy that would otherwise be lost, while ECO mode button optimises throttle response for maximum fuel economy with up to 10% improved mpg.

Battery hireWe believe that the battery hire principle provides the most affordable, reassuring method to own an electric vehicle. As part of the battery hire agreement we provide a guarantee in terms of the battery capacity throughout its motoring life. In addition, we will arrange recovery of your Z.E. vehicle in the event of breakdown or loss of energy.

ˆ The mileage bandings above represent the most commonly requested distances. If you drive further than this, we will have a banding to suit you, so please ask your Renault dealer for more details.

You only pay for what you need – you tell us how many miles you’ll do and how long you’d like to keep your Z.E.; we personalise your battery hire monthly payment to your own individual requirements.

Battery performance is guaranteed to at least 75% of it’s original charge capacity. If not, we’ll repair or replace it.

No worries – complete 24/7 roadside assistance, even if you run out of charge.

You enjoy your Z.E. while we keep its heart healthy. It’s that easy.

If the vehicle is sold to a dealer or another person, the customer simply signs the declaration form to confirm the new owner’s details and sends it to Renault finance. Your obligation will cease once the new owner takes over the battery hire agreement.

* The Kangoo Z.E is homologated to 106 miles according to the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle). The NEDC can best be compared to the combined mpg figure for petrol and diesel cars. This range is a comparative indication of range measured under very specific conditions (described below). Exactly as with petrol and diesel cars, when driven under real conditions, this range will vary according to speed, driving style, the terrain of the road and the use of air conditioning / heating. If the vehicle is driven in temperate conditions then the range could more realistically be approximated to 78 miles for an average suburban trip. If the vehicle is driven in extreme winter conditions then the range could more realistically be approximated to 50 miles for an average suburban trip. NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) is a standard European measurement of emissions and consumption based on a rolling road test. It is the same standard for petrol and diesel engines as it is for electric cars. It is an objective way to measure the performance gaps between competition models. The car is on a rolling road, undertaking the same urban cycle (ECE-15 cycle) three times, then the extra-urban cycle once. The average of these 4 cycles decides the NEDC range.

PiVG - Plug-in Van Grant. - In order to help reduce carbon emissions in the UK, the Government has launched the Plug in Van Grant (PiVG) scheme which is intended to run from April 2015. The scheme will be managed by OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) who are a cross Government team within the Department for Transport. This scheme provides a grant of 20%, up to a maximum value of £8,000, towards the cost of a new ultra-low carbon van, which is provided to a consumer at the point of purchase. The grant is applied to the Total Retail Price which includes the basic price and the VAT (this excludes the delivery charge, first registration and any optional extras).
