  • Even the longest journey starts with a single step. The EFQM One Day Workshop is designed to help ensure that first step is a step in the right direction. Many people think that implementing the EFQM Excellence Model is a long, complex and expensive process. However, that isnt necessarily true. Implementing the Model can be as simple or as complex as you choose to make it. Weve designed the One Day Workshop to help a Management Team with no previous experience of using the EFQM Excellence Model take that first step. In one day. Why make it complicated?

During the workshop, through a series of practical exercises, you will: Gain a basic understanding of the EFQM Excellence Model; the Fundamental Concepts of

Excellence, the 9 Box Model and the RADAR.

Understand how these apply to your organisation.

Complete a simple self-assessment of your organisation to establish a baseline.

Agree an improvement plan, focused on helping to achieve your strategic goals.

The workshop can be used as a starting point for EFQMs Committed to Excellence recognition.

The Quick Check is a simple self-assessment tool derived from the EFQM Excellence Model 2010. It has been designed to give a quick overview of your organisations current capabilities against the EFQM Fundamental Concepts of Excellence. It assesses the approaches you have in place and determine where the key opportunities for improvement are, based on the maturity of these approaches and their impact on your ability to deliver your strategy. It is designed as a first step on your journey to excellence and the assessment can be completed, with an agreed action plan aligned to your strategy, in about 2 hours. During the One Day Workshop, you will complete this assessment for your organisation.

  • A self-assessment using the EFQM Excellence Model will give you a holistic overview of your

organisation. It can help you to:

Understand how effectively you are deploying your strategy.

Identify the cause and effect relationships between the things you do and the results you

Identify your current strengths and prioritise opportunities for improvement against your

    strategic goals.

Identify opportunities for benchmarking; both in terms of things you can share and things you

    want to learn.

Establish a baseline position so you can measure your progress over time.

Organisations frequently focus only on the things they need to improve and dont recognise their strengths. Identifying what you are doing well is equally important, not only so you keep doing them but also so you can understand how these strengths can help address the improvement areas identified.

EFQM Committed to Excellence is designed as the first milestone

in the journey towards excellence. To achieve this recognition, an

organisation needs to identify 3 priority improvement initiatives

from a self-assessment and, over the next 6 to 12 months,

    implement these projects.

It helps involve a significant number of people in the practical

implementation of the Model, is a great learning experience

    delivers real benefits.
