I am writing to you concerning the proposed cancellation of the incorporation for CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY SKILLS CENTRE Inc under the Associations Incorporation Act 1991 (the Act). Under the Act, the Registrar-General may cancel an association's incorporation for failure to lodge an annual return in relation to each of the last two years.

Cancellation action was previously initiated by sending notices to the public officer and other

committee members on file in this office. The name of your association was also advertised in the

Canberra Times on 26 June 2014. The association had two months; after this date to lodge the

outstanding annual returns or show cause why it should not be cancelhed.

The Registrar-General is providing your association with a last opportunity to avoid cancellation. To

bring the public record up to date the association must lodge the outstanding annual returns. A

separate annual return form for each year must be completed and sent to this office along with the

audited financial statements and the appropriate fee. If you do not provide these documents

within 30 days of the date on this letter the association's incorporation will be cancelled.

Once the association is cancelled all assets vest in the Registrar-General which in turn will be paid to

the Territory. When this occurs the assets may only be claimed through an application to the

Supreme Court under Section 95(5) of the Act.
