Non-contact speed sensorsThese enable speeds to be read with thehighest accuracy in the most severeenvironment. Depending on theapplication, we can offer sensors withvarious measurement principles in a widevariety of styles and connection types.
Hand-held instrumentsOur tried and tested hand-held instrumentsrecord rotational speeds and runninglength. There is a choice of non-contactmeasurement by means of light and areflective mark applied on the object to bemeasured, or contact measurement withspecial attachments for variousapplications.
Other Hand-held instrumentsOur new hand-held stroboscopemeasures and tests rotational andvibrational movements even in placeswhich are difficult to access. It doesthis without any encroachment what-soever in the system to be tested.When the displayed strobe frequencyequals the true speed, the movingpart will appear stationary.
Speed MonitorThe programmable speed monitor observesthe movement of motors, machines, andsystems. Because of its variety offunctions and its variable programmableoptions, the speed monitor is flexibleenough to fit in with various systemrequirements.
Eddycurrent TachometersDirect mounting to give indication at pointof measurement. A complete range of sizesand mounting styles. Ideal for inexpensive local indication and inareas where electrical supply is not availableor dependable, or where electricalinstallations create certificationrequirements (i.e. explosive atmospheres).

The Foundrometers name has been established for more than 90 yearsduring which the company has earned a reputation for the manufacture ofinstruments which can withstand harsh operating conditions whilst maintainingaccuracy and giving long service. Today, supported by a network of overseasrepresentatives, Foundrometers trades with major concerns and governmentdepartments world-wide. In the year 2000 Foundrometers merged with Rheintacho of Germany to create one ofthe worlds largest groups specialising in rotational speed measurement and control.Ours is one of the few companies worldwide that manufacture a complete range ofspeed measurement and control instrumentation to provide a solution to any speedmeasurement application. From reverse engineering a single obsolete tachometer tothe mass manufacture of custom designed sensors.
What is an Electrical Tachometer?Remote speed measurement and indicating equipment permits information on rotaryor linear movement to be transmitted to observation points at almost any distancefrom the measuring point. An installation typically consists of a speed sensor inthe form of a tacho-generator in conjunction with one or several indicators; theelements form a self powered system for which no main supply is required.

Any dialThe dials can be marked in any engineering units, i.e.r.p.m., km/h, sheets per hour, baking time etc. Colouredsectors, symbols or customers own logo.

Direct and Remote Coupling The company manufactures a comprehensive range of
tachotransmitters with a variety of mounting arrangements and
outputs. This range is fully complimented by an extensive
range of connection, coupling accessories and mechanical
interface components, i.e. gearboxes, sprockets etc.

Will accept most standard input signals either from our own transmitters or others. Thecompany also manufactures signal conditioning relays to convert existing sensor
outputs into acceptable inputs for our indicators.
