    From the Pastors Desk

    My Dear People:

To get where we want to go, to be what wewant to be and to gain what we would like tohave we must PLAN ahead. This is

especially true of our journey on this earth toheaven. Unless we plan ahead of time wemay never get to heaven but, instead, end upin the disaster of all disasters, the eternalpunishment of God.

Time moves so fast that sometimes we areshocked at our own age. Even worse, manyof the things we would like to do are neverdone because we did not plan ahead of time.During the season of Lent we work toward abetter relationship with God and heaven, Hisultimate gift to us. The greatest work of Lentis found during Holy Week. Plan now on howyou will spend Holy Week.

During Holy Week , the holiest week of theyear, we want to meditate on the death andresurrection of Jesus. Our Youth Minister,Chelsea Piper, asked if we would show thePassion of the Christ film on the Wednesdayevening of Holy week starting at 6:30 p.m. forthe Youth and everyone else who would liketo attend. Chelsea says she watches the filmevery Lent to prepare for Good Friday. Allare invited.

Unless we make plans now for Holy Week, itwill be just another week. So we remindourselves now of the spiritual opportunities ofHoly Week. On Holy Thursday evening (withno Masses in the morning) there will be onlyone Mass according to the rubrics for theparish at 7:00 p.m. celebrating the LordsSupper. We did get permission again thisyear for a 5:00 p.m. Mass since so manypeople would like to attend Mass on this day.Adoration will be from 8:00 p.m. till midnight.

You can visit the church anytime on GoodFriday for the devotions from 12:00 p.m. till3:00 p.m. From Noon till 2:00 p.m. we willhave sermons, prayers and singing on the 7

Last words of Jesus from the cross. Stationswill start at 2:30 p.m.

On Holy Saturday, there will not be Mass inthe morning, nor confessions in theafternoon. The Mass of the Easter vigil inwhich we bring the converts into the Church

    will begin at 8:00 p.m.

Week before last I had a bad case of the coldvirus that has been going around. Rumorsmade it much worse than it was. (Manythanks for your wonderful prayers) It wasrumored that I had been hospitalized andwas about to get off this earth. One memberof our Columbarium committee told theGeneral Contractor to hurry since we had acustomer just about ready for the internment. When he saw me healthy and walking abouthe told the contractor he could slow down butthe workers were already in high gear. Nowit seems that the columbarium could befinished by Easter Sunday. How fitting, thatwith the significance of Easter, our lives afterdeath will be commemorated by a garden ofearthly remains and a statue of theresurrected Christ.

For the first time OLS School will hold anintellectual festival for writers. Our schoolchildren have been doing creative andresearch writing to prepare for thecelebration of the art of writing on AuthorsDay. Well-known authors and artistsincluding Amy Welborn, Kevin Scarbinsky,Brother Leo Mary, and Roger Day, will bepresent. Scott Richards and Sara Verserfrom Fox 6 News will cover the event. Iunderstand that one student has written a134 page novel that will be on display for theoccasion. All are invited to attend AuthorsDay on April 1st from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

    With prayers and blessings,Father Muller
