Experience with Large Frame CompressorsElliotthasover50yearsofprovenexperienceinlarge framecompressorapplications,includingpropane andmixedrefrigerationservicesforLNG,propane/ propyleneservicesforpetrochemicalapplications, andmanyothergasprocessingapplications.Elliotts reliable,largeframecompressorsareengineered tomeetthedemandingtemperatureextremes encounteredinLNGrefrigerationapplications.These compressorsareavailableinbothhorizontallyand verticallysplitdesigns. Elliottslargesthorizontallysplitcompressordesigns arecapableofupto320,000icfm(544,000m3/h)with casingratingsofupto400psig(27.6barg). CFDandFEAprovideafull3-dimensionalanalysisofboththeaerodynamicflowpathandthestructural mechanicsofcompressordesigns.State-of-the-artrotordynamics,compressorperformanceanddynamic simulationprogramsareusedfordevelopingcompressorselections.Thesetoolsoptimizeawiderangeofcompressorconfigurationsincludingthosewithside-stream,doubleflow,back-to-back,andinter-cooleddesigns.
