In January and March of 2011 I had brain surgery to alleviate the symptoms. Instead it left me using a walker and falling down my stairs. I had no balance. When I started on my journey I decided I wanted to be stronger and bring myself back to where I was before my surgeries. I wanted to do a plank and a pull up and push-ups. My ultimate goal is run a marathon. I have never been able to run for any amount of sustained time. The best thing I have ever done for myself was Stephen; my personal trainer. He motivates me to do more and be more. Whenever I feel like I want to quit all I have to do is remind myself that I not only let myself down but I would undo all the hard work Stephen has put into helping me succeed. My favorite exercises that Stephen taught me are the rows, push-ups and planks on the TRX but I also like to challenge myself on the treadmill and the rowing machine. Not only can I know plank for more than 35 seconds but I can run for six min straight. It Emma Mallory
