    Day 1: Lima

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, you'll start the city tourof Lima including a guided visit to the cathedral, the main square and theSan Francisco Catacombs. Lunch at Herv Restaurant. Visit to the LarcoMuseum. Dinner at La Huaca Pucllana Restaurant. Return to the hotel.Overnight. (B, L, D)

    Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to board a private flightto Puerto Maldonado's airport. Reception at the airport and registration at theInkaterra Butterfly House. Land transfer to the boarding wharf that will take

    you, on a 45-minute boat ride along the Madre de Dios River, to the InkateraReserva Amazonica. After arrival at the lodge there will be a short briefing, then

    you'll be free to settle into your beautiful cabaa and have lunch in the dining room. In the afternoon you are invited to enjoy a refreshing tea time. Then a

    guided walk to one of lodge's trails that extend 7,3 kilometers (4,5 miles) in which you will discover the incredible realm of the Amazon rainforest. The trails offeran excellent introduction to the environment of the jungle, as you walk pastexotic rainforest trees, such as the lupuna tree and the beautiful ficus. Dinnerserved in the main dining room. Then you will ventureon the Twilight Rivernight excursion. On this guided afternoon boat ride, you will witness the enchant-ing transformation from a diurnal to a nocturnal environment, as animals andbirds of the daytime are replaced by species specially adapted to the night. As you

    enjoy their paradise, you will learn about their habits while searching for night- jars, owls, capybaras and caymans. In addition, on a clear night the southernhemisphere stars can be appreciated. Return to the lodge. Overnight. (B, L, D))

    Day 4: Puerto MaldonadoBreakfast at the lodge. Your first excursion of the day is a visit to the

    Sandoval Lake, a 30-minute boat ride will take you to the TambopataNational Reserve, where wildlife surrounds you as you enjoy the one and ahalf hour walk along three kilometers of trails to reach Lake Sandoval. Glidein a wooden canoe, across a beautiful, mirror-like oxbow lake that is home tothe a variety of species. You will spend two hours on the lake. Return to theInkaterra Lodge for lunch. After lunch, a five-minute boat ride will take youto the Inkaterra Canopy Interpretation Center. After ascending the firsttower, at 29 meters above the forest floor, you will literally walk through thetreetops for one-and-a-half hours along suspension bridges that link eightobservation platforms. Then experience the Anaconda Walk for about 30minutes along the 200-meter wooden bridge over the Aguajales swamps. Thewalk finishes by returning to the lodge for cocktails in the main dining room.

    Breakfast at the lodge. Enjoy a walk through a narrow trail towardsSanipangaand an hour canoe ride down stream to the Gamitana ModelFarm for an interpretation of creek ecosystems. After a picnic lunch, you'llparticipate in a walk through the Model Farm to see how local farmers keeptheir crops in the jungle. Return to the Lodge. In the afternoon you will havea complementary service at the unique ENA Spa, located on the banks of theMadre de Dios River. Dinner at the main dinning room. Overnight. (B, L, D)

    Breakfast at the lodge before enjoying a walk along the lodge trailsto the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica Rainforest Garden just around thecabaas. This interesting native garden was started by the locals more thanten years ago showcasing native plants, trees and orchids. Learn to identifyorchids, its flower parts, pollinators and different habitats. Know the fascinat-ing history and legends, the practical and beneficial use of indigenous plants,as well as other remarkable rainforest flora. An in-depth explanation familiar-izes you with the process, traditional use and highly interesting benefits of theplants and trees used for construction including those that were used for build-ing the lodge, some of its fixtures, as well as native clothing accessories. Then

    you will attend the Eco-media nature presentation with available cocktail.Dinner at the main dinning room. Overnight. (B, L, D)
