Executive Board MessageDear Alums and Members,

As we wrap up the school year, I want to thank all of you for your continuous support of USWIB. Our club

would not be the success it is today without your dedication and commitment.

I have been a part of USWIB since freshman year of NYU. Now, looking back, as a graduated senior, Irecognize that much of my personal growth has been shaped by the experiences and opportunities this organizationgave me. Few clubs are as dedicated to honing the abilities of its underclassmen members as USWIB is. Through

USWIB, I have learned to organize community service events, communicate professionally with recruiters, connectwith my peers and speak confidently in public. The person I am today is a far cry from the insecure and anxious girl I

    was four years ago.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your president. This has been an extremely rewardingand humbling experience. When I ran for e-board last year, I was convinced that this was a way for me to give back toan organization that has given me so much. However, I was wrong-- this opportunity has taught me so much. This

year has taught me to reflect on my actions, question my decisions and motivated me to continuously improve. I am sothankful and blessed to have been the leader of this truly wonderful organization. I am so grateful to have worked withsuch passionate and impressive e-board, board and general members. It was a pleasure getting to know all of you, and

I urge you all to keep in touch. Not just with me, but with each other. USWIB was built on the notion that the networkyou build today is the key to your success tomorrow. And I firmly believe this as well.

In closing, I have a favor to ask from all of you:

To alums and recent graduates: please continue to stay connected with USWIB. Come back to our events and

speak to our members! Your stories and your successes inspire us to continue striving for more.

To upperclassmen members: connect and mentor underclassmen. Your actions and your words have so muchmore impact than you realize. You are the role models that the younger students look up to. Think about the mentors

who have helped you navigate this college terrain. Return the favor by giving back to our Stern community.

To the underclassmen: push yourself out of your comfort zone; travel to distant places, explore differentcareers, try exotic cuisines and meet new people. But most of all: stay involved in USWIB! We are a strong networkand community that is dedicated to both your professional andpersonal growth. USWIB will give you more than you

can imagine; and maybe in four years, you will be the person writing this letter, reflecting on how fast time has gone, how much you have grown and how you would not go back and change anything that this incredible school, and clubhas given you.

    Warm Regards,

    Serena

The most important thing Ive learned from my leadership experiences is thatto be a good leader, you need to be in tune with your constituents, yourteammates. You need to make sure they are satisfied, and on the same page, and share the same vision that you do. Because without that, youre no leaderat all. Ive been asking a bunch of you for feedback of things youd want tochange next yearemails, event datesbecause your opinions and ideasmatter! As many of you know, I am willing to sit down with anyone, upper or

underclassmen and help them if I can in any way. I want to be a resource foryou whether it be internship connections or questions about classes.

I knowthat USWIB, at only 5 years old, is one of the strongest clubs on this campus. It is an honor and privilege to continue to make USWIB the best it can beanopen, friendly environment, that nurtures and guides the undergraduate
