Financial Management – End-term Exam Guidelines Dear Students, This mail is regarding your Financial Management end-term exam. Total marks for the exam would be 60. There will be three sections for the question paper. Section A consists of 10 multiple choice questions to test your conceptual knowledge. Each question carries 1.5 marks. Total marks for this section would be 15. Section B consists of four questions. You have to answer three questions out of these four questions. Each question carries 10 marks. Total marks for this section would be 30. Section C consists of four questions. You have to answer three questions out of these four questions. Each question carries 5 marks. Total marks for this section would be 15. There will be two theory questions, one in section B and the other in section C. The other questions will be numerical problems. In section A some questions are simple numerical problems. The exam would be a closed book exam and total time allowed for the exam is three hours. You will be allowed to bring the formula sheet and present value tables for the exam. Please budget your time carefully. The topics covered for the exam are: 1. Capital budgeting – NPV and IRR. 2. Cost of capital. 3. Capital structure theories (MM Model) 4. Operating, financial and combined leverage. 5. Dividend theory – Walter’s Model. 6. Capital Asset Pricing Model.
