About this release This document contains important information about the current release. We recommend that you read

Caution We do not support the automatic upgrade of a pre-release software version. To upgrade to a production release of the software, you must first uninstall the existing version.

This release was developed for use with:
McAfee® Endpoint Security 10.5.1
Purpose
This release adds enhancements and fixes problems that were reported in the previous version.
Rating – High Priority
Mandatory Critical High Priority Recommended
High priority for all environments.
Failure to apply a High Priority update might result in potential business impact.
Most patches and hotfixes are considered High Priority.

Resolved issues The current release of the product resolves these issues. For a list of issues fixed in earlier releases, see the release notes for the specific release.

Reference Issue description
1125493 The client interface for Adaptive Threat Protection now dynamically updates the list of contained applications when applications are contained and released.
1175503 Unknown files now correctly send their metadata to the Threat Intelligence Exchange server.
1177453 Metadata, such as a file name, is now correctly sent to the TIE Reputations page.
1178921 A reputation notification change message is sent when a reputation is changed from Trusted to Known Malicious.
1180084 The blframework.dll no longer causes Adaptive Threat Prevention to crash.
1180280 JTI scans now successfully complete if the scan is in progress while a content update occurs.
1181016 Client systems successfully restart when Adaptive Threat Prevention is enabled.
1181583 Advanced Threat Defense and file metadata are now sent from the Threat Intelligence client when Dynamic Application Containment is enabled.
1182804 The Enterprise Reputation for the Threat Intelligence Exchange server now functions as expected after upgrading to Endpoint Security 10.5 and Adaptive Threat Protection 10.5.
1184253 mfeatp.exe no longer crashes during a file repair.
