The teacher in the blog link below uses a large Foldable to house each week’s vocab, spelling, phonics activities, etc. from Monday through Thursday. Then students show their completed compilation of work on Fridays.

Activities included a topic of the week cover page, their patterning of sounds, writing sentences and spelling words, categorizing words, etc. All were done on smaller Foldables that were glued to the larger one.

This way the students walk away with a product, rather than a stack of papers. Student engagement? Yes.
