Time - Bridge informed that the Duty Engineer is in E/R. Time – Chief Engineer was informed by Duty Engineer. Synchronize all clocks. Start additional auxiliary engines on load / normal. Control + alarm panel / normal. O.F. Boiler operational / normal. All M.E. pumps operational / press & temps normal. Steering gear inspected and tested. Fuel Service, sett tanks full / free of sludge & water. Power on deck machinery / tested. Power on bow thruster. Test telegraphs. Both Air Compressors on Auto & Air Bottles Full. Main & Control Air System drained of moisture water. Cylinder Lubricators operated & Engine turned with turning gear. Turning gear disengaged. OWS equipment and 15 ppm monitor and alarm unit tested. Check with bridge + kick M/E over on air / normal. Inform bridge of engine readiness. Issued 15/08/02 Page 1 of 1

ENGINE ROOM DEPARTURE CHECKLIST

Time - Duty Engineer was informed by the Bridge.

Time - Bridge informed that the Duty Engineer is in E/R.

Time – Chief Engineer was informed by Duty Engineer.

Synchronize all clocks.

Start additional auxiliary engines on load / normal.

Control + alarm panel / normal.

O.F. Boiler operational / normal.

All M.E. pumps operational / press & temps normal.

Steering gear inspected and tested.

Fuel Service, sett tanks full / free of sludge & water.

Power on deck machinery / tested.
