HOW DOES IT WORK?

End Point Assessment (EPA) is the name given to a series of tests an apprentice must take to prove their ability to do the job they have been training for.

multiple choice tests evidence portfolio (such as a logbook) observed practical skills tests professional discussion with independent assessor workplace projects

Duration of an apprenticeship: 2 - 4 years, however some could differ

Course work: one file + your tutor and assessor

The National Minimum Wage (NMW) for apprentices is£4.15 per hour from April 2020must be paid for:

• Your normal working hours (minimum 30 hoursper week) and,

• Training that’s part of your apprenticeship(usually one day per week)

The apprentice NMW applies to all 16 to 18 year oldsand to those aged 19 and over in the first year of theirApprenticeship.
