Tamilnadu.

The Engineer Mr.Avadesh Sing had visited the site on 08.07.2010
along with the
Contractors representative and SC team. The status of the
project and the Engineers
instructions are as follows:-

Physical Progress: 98.41 %
Financial progress: 95.34 % (221.628 Crores; value of work done
only)
Compliance of Engineers Instruction
In view of issuing ToC, the Engineer during his previous visit
instructed the Contractor to finish
the following works in all aspects. The compliance report of the
same as follows:-

The cut slopes of the hill are to
be trimmed properly by means
of power hammer from top and
bottom of the hill. All loosepockets and hanging cliffs are
to be removed. Thereafter, the
cut slope is to be inspected by
a Geotechnical Expert to be
deputed by the Contractor to
confirm its stability.

Proposal for the slope
protection treatmentshall be submitted by
the Contractor through
the Geotech Expert is
expected by 25th
July,2010.
6 The rehabilitation work of the
existing bridges like hand rail
repairing, removal and relaying
of wearing course and guniting
of the exposed reinforcement
etc., is to be completed.

The Engineer had inspected package NS-43/TN also. As per
Engineers instruction, inspection
of NS-43 project is in progress to assess the work to be carried
out by the Contractor before
issuing work completion certificate (after DLP).
