The role of the Teachers and Language Assistants in the English Immersion Course
In this course the classroom teachers and
language assistants’ role is to facilitate and
encourage conversation and communication. As
a general rule she/he will make note of important
or common errors and review them with the
whole class at the end of different sessions.
However, she/he will not interrupt communication
to correct you.
Remember the emphasis is on oral fluency!
You all have a lot of English grammar, vocabulary,
rules of all kinds in your heads. Now it is time to put
this knowledge to work! The main objective of these
five days is to provide you with the opportunity to
practice, practice, and then practice some more!
English must be spoken all the time.
