Required tasks
Final Project Mini-lessons (max. 15 min.) taught by groups of 3 (25% of the course grade) Apply the language and skills practiced in class

Fun activities to recycle materials from previous days and to get to know your classmates.

Skills and tasks such as the following will be incorporated in the daily activities:
•Intonation and pronunciation in order to communicate clearly at the same time as increase comprehension
•How to use your voice to gain and maintain audience attention
•Making suggestions / Giving Feedback / Evaluating
•Learning strategies
•Learning, recycling, incorporating vocabulary into your own use of English as well as ideas for working with vocabulary in the classroom
•Referring to visual aids; Working with PowerPoint slides
After the break
Face to Face 30 minute sessions3 students / 1 teacher (three 30 minute sessions during the week).
Large group session: 12 students / 1 teacher Speaking skills, discussion and the exchange of ideas.

Last part of this period• Work on final project (mini-lesson) in groups of 3
• Reflect on the day and make notes for the required Reflective Journal (Memoria)
The Role of the Teachers in the English Immersion Course
In this course the classroom teachers’ role is to
facilitate and encourage conversation and
communication. As a general rule she/he will
make note of important or common errors and
review them with the whole class at the end of
different sessions. However, she/he will not
interrupt communication to correct you.
What are we trying to do in this course?
C O M M U N I C A T E !
You all have a lot of English grammar, vocabulary,
rules of all kinds in your heads. Now it is time to put
this knowledge to work! The main objective of these
5 days is to provide you with the opportunity to
practice, practice, and then practice some more!
