ⒼⒾⒿⓂ Enhanced Safety Measures at Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station Unit 4(conceptual image) July 29,2016 Chubu Electric Power Co.,Inc Major works planned after the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station accident as measures to enhance the safety of Unit 4 are expected to be completed by around September 2016. The efforts will accordingly bolster key functions concerning steps for higher safety (e.g. electric power supply, water injection, heat sink). Meanwhile, in light of field condition- or review- based work detail revisions and design changes, respectively, some of the works are to be continued from September and onwards. New knowledge and developments from conformability reviews might result in the need to rearrange or add works. We will accordingly announce the timing in which enhanced safety measure works will complete, after the review practically comes to an end and we gain an outlook for the works. Major works planned after the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station accident as measures to enhance the safety of Unit 4 are expected to be completed by around September 2016. The efforts will accordingly bolster key functions concerning steps for higher safety (e.g. electric power supply, water injection, heat sink).
