Duke University Summer College: This is for High School Students and it runs from July 9 – August 4, 2017 for current sophomores and juniors. Earn college credit and experience authentic college residential life. You may apply as early as December 1, 2016. There is also a Summer Academy available from July 15 – August 4, 2017 that includes noncredit bearing courses. Duke University Youth Programs: Each summer, approximately 650 youth from around the nation and world attend one of the 13 different programs for students from grades 6 – 11. All programs seek to engage learners in innovative, interactive and transformative learning experiences. Co-curricular social and recreational activities are carefully planned and delivered to complement the instructional day. The camp “learning community” approaches learning as a shared responsibility among students, instructors, and counselors. Green Mountain College: Vermont Summer Academy offers a variety of courses to rising grades 8 – 12 students. Two sessions are available: July 16 – 29, 2017 and July 30 – August12, 2017. Harvard Pre-College Summer Program: Provides an academically challenging and introduction to college life for rising juniors and seniors. This program will assist students in thrive outside of the classroom. Three sessions are available: June 25 – July 7, 2017, July 9 – 21, 2017, and July 23 – August 4, 2017. Maine Media Young Artists Camp: This is a pre-college program that has one and two-week workshops available that run from June to August in photography, filmmaking, game design, screenwriting, alt pro, documentary, and so many more. Norwich University: New England Youth Leadership Conferences are available in which participants are grouped into teams that participate in both classes and physical challenges. This is open to all high school students and it is recommended that the applicant posses a 2.5 GPA or above. The cost to attend is $100 and payment must be submitted within three weeks of the program to secure a spot. The Experiment in International Living: Experience in Leadership Programs in India with a focus on Global Health, or South Africa with a focus on Peace, Politics and Human Rights. University of Dayton Summer Honors Engineering Camp: This is open to rising sophomores, juniors and seniors who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5. University of Notre Dame – School of Architecture: This program runs from June 18 – 30, 2017 and is geared toward sophomore, junior, and senior students who are considering architecture as a college major. University of Pittsburgh “The Bridge”: This is a College Prep & Leadership Academy and is a week long summer program for high school students. It is being held from July 9 – 14, 2017.
