- ENTREPRENEURSHIP ANIMATOR -

Introduction

In the face of dynamic global competition companies, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as well as regions have to adapt themselves to the market changes, environment needs and economic demands. The adaptation process requires improvement of products, companies’ organizational restructuring and technological changes by means introducing innovations. In such situations companies need pro-fessional experts/consultants as well as managers and employees well trained in coping with economic, scientific and technological issues in an increasingly competitive world. Regional authorities, for their pro-in-novation regional systems, need experts who can resolve their problems and make them competitive on the joint European market.

The University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz, Poland, together with European and local partners, have undertaken actions aiming at developing of new professions in the area of econom-ic development, and worked out education programmes for special-ists in three new professions: “Technological Development Animator” (TA), “Regional Development Animator” (RA) and “Entrepreneurship Animator” (EA) in accordance with the needs and the regional policy of the European Union.

Presented in this brochure is the Entrepreneurship Animator pro-gramme. The programme was developed on the basis of the results of a market demand and educational offer analysis for undergraduate and postgraduate studies, performed in participating partner countries, and it is addressed to graduates of different profiles, employees changing their qualifications or upgrading them or to unemployed graduates.

The modular structure of the programme makes it possible modifica-tion of its curriculum to various levels and needs of educational organi-zations as well as to the specific target groups and users. The brochure is directed to educational and training institutions, lectures and trainers in order to facilitate the students’ enrolment and teaching process together with its organizational aspects.

The programme was achieved within a pilot project funded by the European Union’s educational programme “Leonardo da Vinci”, with the participation of nine partners from six countries (Poland, France, Italy, Nederland Spain and Sweden).
