EPTENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST
1. EPT is meant for the exemption of ELC121 course ONLY.
2. EPT is an optional or non-compulsory test opened to all new intake diploma students of UiTM. Decision to sit for the test is totally on voluntary basis.
3. Akademi Pengajian Bahasa(APB) has the right to reject any application(s).
4. EPT results are �nal and no appeal from candidates will be entertained.
5. The process of seeking for credit exemption is the candidates’ responsibility and APB shall not be made responsible for any delay or failure in getting the exemption. However, APB will play its role in assisting the exercise.
6. Candidates are allowed only one sitting of the EPT throughout the entire tenure as diploma student in UiTM.

PASSING MARK
The English Placement Test (EPT) is a one-time assessment designed to assess students’ approximate level of English grammar and usage. The test takes around 1½ hours to complete. EPT consists of three subtests: Listening Comprehension, Reading Comprehension and Cloze Passage. Students who achieve a score of 80 and above are given the exemption of taking ELC121.
What is EPT?EPT stands for English Placement Test, a test designed to assess students’ approximate level of English grammar and usage.
What is EPT for?It is for the exemption of taking ELC121 in the �rst semester.
Who can sit for EPT?A registered �rst semester diploma student of UiTM.
When is EPT conducted?EPT is conducted in the �rst week of the interim semester.
Where is EPT conducted?EPT is conducted at computer labs at all UiTM campuses.
How many times can I sit for EPT?A registered �rst semester diploma student of UiTM can sit for EPT only ONCE.
To qualify for exemption of ELC121, you need to score a minimum score of 80. If you are not able to get 80 marks, you are not allowed to be exempted and have to attend ELC121 course based on the timetable/schedule prepared by the faculty.

How much is the fee?RM25.00 (non-refundable), to be paid before sitting for EPT.
How do I pay the fee?Once you have registered for EPT, UiTM will issue an invoice which will be sent to you via student portal/your registered email with UiTM. Payment can be made at Bank Islam.
