Essay About My Dream

Since I was young, I had always aspired to be a Chemical Engineer who is both well-respected

and admired. Being professional in handling chemicals and megaprojects are truly fascinating. Being

motivated by the documentary How It Is Made of Discovery Channel, I was amazed by how stuffs workand how things are made chemically and in a systematic way. Machines, chemicals, productions, all are

indeed amazing.

Being a chemical engineer, I want to involve myself in the Research and Development of the

petroleum industry. I want to design a new oil extraction plant which requires no offshore oilrigs. My

idea is to plan a huge pipeline which can be used to extract petroleum and is connected directly to the

land. Sophisticated technology and innovation have to be used to realize this dream. Besides, I also want

to involve myself in the Research and Development of petroleum as I would like to invent biogreen-

petroleum, which is environmental-friendly, producing no greenhouse gases. My aspiration is to invent a

synthetic petroleum where petroleum can be produced by currently-existing chemical, reducing theexploitation on this natural resource.

Being a chemical engineer, wealth is not my primary career objective. My ultimate purpose is to

contribute to humankind. Nowadays, people around the globe are facing shortage of potable water. The

world needs chemical engineers who are determined to solve the predicament. I want to solve all these

problems for the sake of humankind. The demand for clean water supply throughout the world is

skyrocketing. Thus, I want to improve the filtering technology to help the third world countries to obtain

clean and palatable water. When I have sufficient modals, I want to build a large water treatment plant

and find more water resources in third world countries especially South Africa. Treatment for

underground water is my primary goal and I also want to build a desalination plant in other countries to

treat sea water for domestic use.

To realize my dream, I have done some researches on the extraction process of oil as well as the

production processes of many products. I also watch the Discovery Channel and National Geographic

Channel to improve my knowledge. As I am determined to venture into Chemical Engineering, thus, I

have also worked hard to gain more knowledge and concepts about the field. I began to study Advanced

Chemistry before I study in an institution. Not only this, that I must study ahead and stay ahead, this is

why I am now currently studying Engineering Mathematics by myself, hoping that this will give me a

better insight and understanding into the discipline.Recently, I had also tried myself to design water

treatment plant to train myself and I found that it is a useful training indeed! Thus, to realize my dream,

I have improve myself both in theory and practical, this will surely help me to achieve my goal.With my

dream and determination, I really hope that I can fulfill my dream one day.
