European Post-Master Accountancy

The European Post-Master Accountancy program prepares for two certifications: the Dutch Registered Accountant (RA) and the certification that the student would normally acquire in his home country to become a certified or chartered accountant. Dutch students may opt for the CPA certificate or any other English language qualification.

The seminars for the European Post-Master Accountancy program are held in three different European countries; The Netherlands (Tilburg University), Spain (Universidad de huelva) and Romania (Academia de Studii Economice din Bucuresti).

The European Post-Master Accountancy program bridges the gap between practice and theory. This implies that teaching is problem-based, making use of cases taken from practice.

STUDENTSThe program aims for university graduates who work in an international public accounting practice.

PRogRAM SETUPThe program can be finished in 27 months and consists of six seminars of two weeks each. The time between each seminar is used for readings and casework. To support these activities our electronic learning environment complements classroom sessions, resulting in a blended learning approach.

The total study load is 72 credits according to the ECTS, Classes are always from Monday till Saturday. The seminars will always be held mid-May, mid-July and mid-November.

For the RA certification classes are entirely in English, whereas for the student’s country-specific certification, classes will be in the designated country’s language. Dutch students may opt for the US Certified Public Accountant qualification to fill in the country-specific program component.

“Our vision is that the true nature of accountancy education is to prepare students for high profile positions in accountancy and related fields such as finance and control, which entails having both

the required expert knowledge as well as the ability to hold on to strong ethical principles”.
