I received positive feedback from the questionnaires that students were asked to fill in on their opinion on my FC and contents page. However, only 3 students answered the questionnaire so there wasn’t a large enough sample to see if my magazine was really successful. Although, I felt as if I have stuck to the conventions of a college magazine as in the content within my magazine suitably relates to my target audience (students). I made the FC of my magazine bold and bright as this is what the most students answered in my primary research would attract them the most. I haven’t congested the FC with writing and have left it looking quite simple and easy so the student won’t think that it is crammed with information and no pictures. From the feedback this is one of the things that I noticed the students like the most about magazines (the pictures). On my contents page I put a lot of images on it to make it more clear and simple to the consumer. From the feedback this seems to be more appealing then reading a contents page with more text than images. If I were to do it again I would plan it out with a lot more detail. In this preliminary task I left most things to the last minute, for example the content that would be in my magazine. This made me panic towards the end of the task, therefore, I didn’t do to the best of my ability that I could’ve done because I ran out of time. I have learnt that from this I should plan out my main task before I even start the FC and contents page as it will make things a lot easier and less stressful when it comes to the deadline.
