Assassination

• While lincoln was sitting in on a play, John Wilkes Booth, a well known confederate spy shot him in the back of the head. He stayed in a comatose state for a little bit and the following day he died.

Emancipation Proclamation

• This was an executive order that was issued by the president of the united states, Abraham Lincoln. It proclaimed the freedom of slaves and immediately freed 50,000 slaves.
