MissionThe Every Fifteen Minutes program was created to present high school

teens with the reality and consequences of drinking and

driving, without anybody having to die.

Program

• The Every Fifteen Minutes program is put on through local high schools, public and private.

• To further explicate the dangers of drunk driving

• Shows the harsh reality of how many lives are affected by drinking and driving accidents.

InputsIn order to make the Every Fifteen Minutes program happen, we are going to need :•High school staff and trustworthy students who will make an impact on their school•The support and help of the local Fire Department, Police Department, and Highway Patrol.•Videographers to help shoot the final video•Volunteers to help set up the crash scene

Process• The first step in the execution of the Every Fifteen

Minutes program is the walking dead, who are students pulled out of class every fifteen minutes to simulate a classmate lost to drunk driving.

Process• The second step of the Every Fifteen Minutes Program is the

crash scene. This takes place after lunch in front of the student body. The goal of the crash is to simulate what a real drunk driving scene would look like.

Process• The third step in this program is the retreat. Students

participating in the Every Fifteen Minutes program are taken to a local hotel to stay overnight. Once there, they are put into a retreat like atmosphere to reflect about what they have done so far in this program.

• The fourth and final step is the mock funeral. This is put on during school the next day to show teens what it would be like to attend a funeral of one of your friends had they had died in an alcohol related collision. This will include a speech by a guest speaker.

Outputs

• This program is beneficial to the community and to juveniles because of its extraordinary effect. It shows teens what reality is like and makes them rethink themselves because drunk driving is not an accident, it is a choice.

• The teens that were put through this programs gained a lot of information. They realized that not only did they have to watch firsthand an accident, but they got their classmates to realize that drinking and driving is fatal.

Outcomes

These are the following outcomes of this touching program:

• Statistics have shown that instead of a teen dying every 15 minutes, it has lowered to every 40 minutes.

• Students are left with a breadth of knowledge about the subject of drunk driving

• Students are more likely to talk to their parents about drinking.

Outcomes

• Students decreased the number of daily and weekly drinking episodes

• Students are more likely to buckle their seatbelts and designate a driver.

• Students are less likely to be a passenger in a car with someone they know to have been drinking

Outputs

• Students are more likely to choose not to drink.

• Students are more inclined to call their parents for a ride when they have been drinking.

program at their high school are able to think critically by pondering what it would be like if they were in a situation where they had to drink and drive

Critical Action• The teens that go

through this program are chosen because they have a power to make a difference in their high school population.

program is to get teens to think critically about drinking. To think about the consequences of their actions and that drunk driving is a choice.

• Teens are very highly influenced by peer pressure. This program would like to get them to act independently and make the right choice.

Critical Action• This program was

created to influence teens that when they go out, the choice is theirs to make. We would like them to make the right choice and not drink and drive. This program was meant to help achieve that action.
