    Notes on the typing of internally-produced examination papers.

    1. Size of paper

    All papers should be typed on A4 paper, on one side of the paper only.

    2. House style

    The University ouse style, as illustrated by the attached moc! paper, shouldal"ays be follo"ed. The follo"ing notes may be useful#

    i. Code Number

    An examination list "ill be circulated to departments, and this "ill include a

    code number for each examination paper. The code number must beincluded at the top left of everypage.

    ii. Time Allowed

    &lease use 'gures rather than "ords for the time allo"ed.

    &lease note that if an examination has been granted reading time, the correctinstructions should be in the format belo"#

    iv. Directions and ubric

    The directions as to the number of sections and2or 3uestions to be ans"ered

    should be in ordinary type. The rubric, that is, the rest of the instructions, maybe in italics. The directions and rubric should be separated from the rest of theheading by a double underlining above and belo".

    v. Special !aterials" Calculators etc.
