Exclusive trip of Mysore We had visited a few tourist destinations in south East Asia, but this time it was going to be a totally new experience as we had planned visiting India, which is the one of its kind destination in Asia. We had heard a lot about the many surprises for the tourists enveloped in this country. After reading a lot about the unique tourist destinations of south India, we were intending for a trip to Mysore, which is said to be great historical abode of culture and traditions. Our family visiting India included father mother and my lovely sister. We had planned our visit in October to witness great religious festivals of the city. Our hearts were filled with lots of curiosity, when we landed at the Mysore airport. The temperatures were moderate as it was the end of summer and beginning of winter. After checking out from the airport, we called the hotel reception in which we had booked our accommodation. We were taken to the hotel in a cab arranged by them. We settled in our rooms and took rest, so that we can go out in the evening. The point in booking this hotel called United-21 was its nearness to the tourist attractions. Being located near Mysore palace, it was much convenient to visit the palace. Our main intension was to witness the exclusive Dassara festival celebrations carried out in and around the palace premises. Luckily we had two days in hand to move around the city, since the major festival was supposed to be celebrated after two days. Next day after taking a light breakfast of Mysore delicacies, we went on a tour of the palaces. We enjoyed the ride as taste of our family members was inclined towards watching historic and architectural wonders of the world. The palaces of Mysore are beautiful and offer no match in the world. We had invested the whole day in visiting palaces and returned to our hotel late in the evening. The palaces look awesome from outside and inside of palaces is a treasure trove of art and architecture. The Museum set up in one of the palaces has a great collection of artifacts from days of the Maharajas.

Exclusive trip of Mysore

We had visited a few tourist destinations in south East Asia, but this time it was going to be a totally new experience as we had planned visiting India, which is the one of its kind destination in Asia. Next day we came out of the mesmerizing effect of palaces, for visiting other beautiful attractions of the destination. Starting with the well landscaped Vrindavan Gardens, we visited the prime attractions like St. Philomena’s Church, Dodda Ghosal, bird sanctuary at Srirangpatna and the Mysore Zoo. Vrindavan garden is still remembered by us with its fountains and the dancing colored musical lights. Second day also passed away very fast while visiting the most popular places in this historical city. Third day was the great day of famous Hindu festival Dassara. Linda and Peter got up early and were ready for witnessing the great festival procession. My lazy sister also prepared herself to visit and watch the festive celebrations. Most of the celebrations and processions were carried out near the Mysore palaces.

It was convenient for us to pass on to the palace and watch the incredible rituals and celebrations from the hotel. The reference of this hotel United-21 located in Mysore was provided by our neighbors in Boston, who had visited the city before a few years. They only told us that the hotel belongs to Panoramic Universal Ltd, which is the flagship company of Panoramic Group. After returning to Boston we still remember our incredible trip to Mysore in India.
