This ensures pursuing your career goals doesn’t mean sacrificing the things that are most important to you.     The Executive Master of Business Administration (Executive MBA) is an internationally recognised management qualification that sends a powerful message to your professional peers and future employers about your intellectual ability, professional experience, and executive problem-solving skills to take on leading roles in business and government.

    You will master tools and models that improve strategic thinking, decision-making, and leadership, and build powerful professional networks with leading academics, fellow students, and external stakeholders in the business community.

    QUICK FACTSENTRY REQUIREMENTSTo be accepted into the Executive MBA programme, you will need:

    ■ at least five years of work experience in leadership or management roles

    ■ a Bachelor’s degree in any field, or a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration with at least a B average

    ■ to be accepted by the academic programme leader as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.

    While previous university-level study is an advantage, prospective students may be admitted based on extensive practical or professional experience of an appropriate kind.

    Staircasing optionsDepending on your goals, you can opt for a shorter postgraduate management qualification by doing the Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration. Courses completed as part of the Certificate can count towards the full Executive MBA programme if you decide to continue your studies.

    ElectivesElective courses can be selected from across the Wellington School of Business and Government and can be tailored to your career needs and interests.

    Course deliveryClasses are held on Fridays and Saturdays across all three trimesters and will cover critical course material and a variety of professional development activities designed to support your personal and professional growth and provide networking opportunities.

    You will learn as part of a cohort of students; at the beginning of your study you will be placed into a diverse group that simulates a management team. With this team you will carry out discussions and debates, and complete projects and assignments based on real businesses and issues.

    ACCREDITATION The Executive MBA programme is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), an internationally recognised global standard for all MBA programmes, so you can be confident your qualification will stand up against the best around the world.

    Minimum 16 months, duration: four trimesters
