EXO SHOWCASE (Seoul)

This experience was overall amazing and absolutely fantastic. The boys showed both fierce and cute sides to them. Most of the fans were K-ELF, including myself. It was a stadium packed full of excitement and laughter (I also noticed that Leeteuk had a certain fondness for Kai, haha)… Enjoy!

Well, let’s begin with this. I applied with a good feeling but no expectations of me being accepted. Of course, I was ecstatic when I found out that of the 8,000 people who applied for EXO’s showcase, my application was one of the 2,000 to be accepted. SM sent out invites to all the chosen applicants at 8AM on Friday morning. I was sent two texts. The first one said:

The second text:

[EXO SHOWCASE] Please check EXO’s homepage for the details!

Immediately I went to EXO-K’s homepage and clicked on News & Notice. On that page SM explained the process - at 3 to 3:50 fans were to wait in line and check in. Our tickets were the texts we received from SM. At 4 we would be let into the venue, and at 5 the show would start.

My friend and I got to the Olympic Hall a little past 3PM. Little did we know that we might as well had went at 3:30PM because it wasn’t first come first serve - it was according to our number. So out of 2,000 people we were 1,493. At the entrance of the hall was a large banner:

There were four lines with signs in front of them: 1~500, 501~1000, 1001~1500, 1501~2000. So my friend and I stood in the 1001~1500 line. We were near the end, of course, and impatiently waited for 4PM to come. IT WAS SO COLD. We

had to stay out there for an hour, and the cold was unbearable. D;

At around 3:50PM, I received another text from SM:

[EXO SHOWCASE] Everyone invited will be let in at 4!!

However, we weren’t let in at 4PM. Once it reached 4:20PM my friend got so impatient she went up to one of the workers and asked what was going on. He said that something went wrong inside, he didn’t know by when it would fixed.Well, after standing outside for more than an hour, at 4:30PM people were let in. It took a while, since there were only two workers at the front checking for our text messages. And although my friend and I were number 1493 - we were somehow pushed towards the stage. We were sitting at the way left towards the front. There was also something on the screen:

SHINee was also near us. They were sitting towards the middle, though. Everyone took pictures and such. Hyoyeon was also sighted at the showcase alongside SM the Ballad's Jino. Oh, and everyone in the stadium got a glow stick and a little program.

I have two glow sticks, and I’ll do a giveaway for the second one (alongside a signed bigbang cd + kyuhyun autograph so please wait for that). At 5:30 PM the show started. But the funny thing was… EXO-K came on stage at the wrong time XD A VCR of all the members in History showed up, and EXO-K stood at the far left of the stage. Everyone started screaming and the boys were faced away from the audience, however you could see them looking to their left at someone. It was a backstage worker who was telling them to come back XD

The following VCR was this little mythical story on how “EXO Planet came to be”. Halfway through this, EXO-K went back up on stage again and took their positions. Once they did, everyone started screaming. I think their timing was wrong again, because they were standing up on stage, facing away from the audience, not doing anything for a really long time lol.

The first song EXO performed was History. EXO-K started the first half, then the light switched over to EXO-M. Towards the end they danced and sang together in Korean (since it was a Korean showcase after all). After this, the group did their intro: “We are ONE!” However they messed up, so they did it again XD 

Then the stage turned black again, and onto the stage came a guy in a black tuxedo… Leeteuk! Since most of the stadium was K-ELF, everyone cheered really loud and were surprised.

Then Leeteuk started to talk about EXO (he said he studied EXO a lot before hosting). He said that, of course, there was an EXO-M and an EXO-K. He explained that at the same time, same venue, same country EXO was making their debut together. He said that the first performance would be Kai. After a little VCR of all his teasers, Kai came onto the stage and did a performance to the same song. Right after was Tao, who showed his martial arts moves. Luhan, Xiu Min and Lay did a powerful trio dance. They all wore gold and silver.

Then on the screen came a VCR showing EXO-K VS EXO-M. Luhan and Chen sang Baby Don’t Cry, they went against D.O and Baekhyun who sang What Is Love. Then Chanyeol and Kris went up against each other in a rap battle during Two Moons as Lay and Kai danced. The EXO-K VS EXO-M segment finished with Sehun and Kai’s incredibly powerful performance to Time Control.

After these performances, Leeteuk came on stage. All twelve boys followed, and Leeteuk said that since learning all of Super Junior’s names was difficult due to there being so many members, they would memorize names later lol. Then all twelve boys sat in a row, with Leeteuk standing. Seeing this, Kris brought Leeteuk a chair. Leeteuk thanked him and the crowd squealed, haha. Then Leeteuk said, “Now the Q&A session!” He then went up to Suho and told him that he must follow a pledge as leader of EXO, “Repeat after what I say… Hold your hand up!” Suho held his hand up in pledge.“I, Suho, pledge to protect EXO and treat beautiful fans without lies and just sincerity; and we will answer every question honestly.” It was a bit of a tongue twister so Suho had a bit of a hard time in the middle lol.

The boys then moved onto questions, which the boys were a bit shy in answering XD They kept trying to hide their faces and stuttered a lot because they were so nervous. It was adorable! All questions were on screen (since they were Youtube submissions).

(in Korean) Hello, I am a fan from France. Where in the world would EXO like to perform?

For some reason, fans were giggling, and to this Leeteuk said, “Don’t laugh!” which caused more laughter (the way he said it in Korean was funny, haha). When the fan finished asking her question, Leeteuk pointed out, “She’s a foreigner!” and everyone laughed because of course they knew she was a foreigner XD “And she’s someone who speaks Korean so well.”

Chanyeol was the first to respond. He said, “Although being in this showcase is so great, I also want to go to France and meet fans all around the world. Suho added that he was willing to go and find every fan, wherever they were!

Please talk about your dorm life, who’s the member that brings joy to everyone?

A few of the EXO members began to giggle with one another. It was funny because Leeteuk scolded the audience not to laugh, but even EXO couldn’t contain their giggles. Baekhyun was definitely the most outgoing member. He jumped straight into the subject of showers. He said that after every practice/rehearsal, him and Sehun would shower together. With this he quickly added, “Don’t think of it weirdly!” He also said that three to five years later, EXO would probably appear in a commercial. He said that in order to prepare for this he practices in the mirror. Then he quickly said, “Want to see an example?”

Baekhyun then tried to show a sexy side to himself (Leeteuk was giggling) and said that as he goes out of the bathroom, he would hang a towel next to a mirror and then say to the mirror (as if he’s on a towel commercial), “Hm… Today… Should I use the yellow towel?”

Leeteuk then asked if Baekhyun was the one who made the members happy, and he said, “Ah yes - me, Chanyeol and Sehun are the mood makers of the dorm.”

Hello, I am a fan from Norway. What has been your most memorable moment since training? 

Kris said that today (the day of the showcase) was the most memorable, and filming the teasers.

Hello, I am a fan from China. What do you do during your free time and how are the dorm rooms split?

The funniest part was this (I was laughing so hard). Lay offered to answer the question. He said that Kris, Xiu Min and Luhan shared a room while himself and Chen shared one. Tao lived alone because there was no space. Since Tao wasn’t that good in Korean, he was a bit shy. He said that due to him being the maknae he lived alone, and Leeteuk asked, “Can I visit you?” There was no response from Tao (he didn’t hear it XD) and Leeteuk added, “Hahaha, sorry ^^;”Then Leeteuk asked, “Who hates cleaning the dorm? So, this member is dirty and doesn’t like cleaning, please point to him… One, two, three!”

No one pointed to anyone. Leeteuk seemed surprised, “You’re all clean?!” One of the members said, “We like to clean.” The crowd responded, “Yeah right~” Leeteuk added, “Well then next time I’ll seek out your dorm and put up a picture of it on Twitter and decide.” haha XD

Hello, I am a fan from Indonesia. Which member has the most different personality?

No one wanted to answer this question so Leeteuk picked Suho. He was still a bit awkward and said slowly, “I guess Tao because he looks really fierce but other than what people would think, he’s full of aegyo.”

The fans then started to chant, “Show us! Show us!” Leeteuk heard this and asked, “Would you like to see Tao’s aegyo?”“YES!”

“…The next question will demand this so please wait for it.” (LOL SPOILER)

Then Leeteuk said, “When I first met Eunhyuk I thought that he would leave SM in three months-” Everyone laughed at this. “Is there a member in EXO that made you feel like this? Yes or no?”

There was a mixed chorus of “Yes” and “No”. Leeteuk was a bit confused so he repeated, “Yes? No?”

Then a member said, “No. No one.” The fans responded, “Eh!” which is kind of like, “Yeah right~” XD Then Leeteuk continued, “When I first met Siwon he was so handsome that people wanted to get to know him, is there a member in EXO like that? Yes? No?” (the fans were laughing because Leeteuk brought up Super Junior a lot lol).

Then Baekhyun responded, “Yes, there is. When I first met Kris he looked like Siwon to me. I really wanted to be close to him.”

Then Suho added, “For me, EXO-M’s Luhan. I fell for him the first time I met him.” Then suddenly Kai said, “Ah…”Because he didn’t speak at all until that moment, Leeteuk commented, “Everyone don’t you like Kai?”

“Yes~”

“I like him too~”

Kai was laughing and then said, “I would say Sehun. When I first met him three years ago I never found him to be so good looking, only until later did I realize.”

Hello, I am a fan from China. Which member likes to do aegyo? 

Immediately Suho said, “For me, Tao.”

Xiu Min said, “For me, the maknaes Sehun and Kai really like to do aegyo.” Leeteuk then tried to hype up the crowd by saying, “Alright then, we’ll start with Tao. A cute pose, please! Three, two, one!” And then Tao (he was so incredibly shy, it was adorable) did a little “bboing~bboing~”

Leeteuk then went to Sehun, “Maknae… Age?”

“19.” Sehun responded (his voice is low and sexy).

Sehun was super reluctant alongside Kai, and when Leeteuk asked if he was ready, he had an expression of “lord help me” XD Sehun did a “bboing-” then he broke down and started to laugh. Leeteuk moved onto Kai, who only laughed. Then Leeteuk made him try again, but all he did was the bboing~bboing~ motion (without the sound).

Hello, I am a fan from Holland. Are there any fun and interesting things EXO do together?

Xiu Min said, “Well, we often use fun nicknames. For example Kai, we call him Black Jong. And… He’s cute. It’s because his real name is Jongin and he is really tan, therefore Black Jong.”

Leeteuk then asked, “Are there any other members with nicknames?”

Xiu Min thought for a second, “Hmm… The member at the very end, over there - Kris! We call him leader (in Chinese).”

Hello, I am a fan from Russia. EXO has popularity amongst non-Asian fans. How does the group feel about this?

Leeteuk chose Kris (he called him by his nickname lol, “Leader Kris, what are your feelings on this?”) Kris responded, “My feelings are… Yes.” The fans and Leeteuk laughed because he didn’t understand the question; everyone thought he was so cute XD Kris apologized too, and he was blushing.

When he finally understood the question, Kris said, “I like it a lot, right now.” The EXO-M leader added, ”My Korean isn’t that good so I don’t know how to express my happiness well.”

Leeteuk then said, “In moments like these, all you have to say is this.. jjang!”

Kris, “You’re all jjang! Jjang!”

Leeteuk finished, “That was the end of Q&A. Now EXO will be performing for you all. Sehun, what song would this be?”

Sehun replied, “It already came out in the teasers: Into Your World.”

Then Leeteuk went offstage and EXO got into their places. The group sang the Korean version of Into Your World

together. It was amazing. You can hear the recorded song here. All members participated in this song together 

After the performance, everything went black and Leeteuk was on stage again. He said, “You will all support EXO, right?”

“Yes~”

“Uh…could you support Super Junior too?” Since most of the audience was ELF, everyone was screaming XD

Leeteuk continued, “To be honest, when Super Junior first debuted TVXQ gave us a lot of strength, and because they gave us strength… Today I also want to be a sunbae that gives EXO strength. And now, the long awaited title song will be performed! It’s called… MAMA.”

He then said, “The boys are changing, so… I guess I have to kill time… Um, well, wait… You didn’t know about the title, huh?”

“Yes…”

“I was the one that gave it away, huh?”

“Yes…”

“I’m in trouble…” Then he said after a pause, “Ah, I didn’t tell you RIGHT? *wink wink*”

“You didn’t tell us~”

“I didn’t tell you?”“Yes~”

“Okay good~ Are the boys ready now? - Now everyone, the group you have been waiting so long for: EXO and their title song!”

Leeteuk ran off stage and the screen played the MAMA music video. After the music video finished playing, EXO came on stage and danced to MAMA together. It was one of the most powerful performances I had ever seen. The boys were crying as they performed. After the performance, EXO came on stage and stood in a line. They said, “We are ONE!” Although they are super in sync with their dances, they weren’t very together with their intro XD They were still getting used to it. Suho took the mic and said, “First of all, because this many fans came we are so touched. Thank you so much. Starting today, in both Korea and China…” Suho choked and he was crying. The other members looked over at him in concern. “Also, we will continue to do our best. Going forth we will love our fans. Tomorrow at the Chinese Showcase we will do well. Thank you!” The rest of EXO yelled, “Thank you!” and bowed/waved to fans.

EXO SHOWCASE (Beijing)

Tao's Parents & Lay's dad attended the showcase. ^^ They started with History first As the teasers of the members played, screams were deafening in the hall. Suho and Luhan made a lot of hearts to the fans Chanyeol was smiling very widely the whole time. ADORABLE. Yixing (Lay)'s father was queuing outside the hall and he saw the huge showcase poster and he was looking very

intently at the picture. Then a staff came and saw, "Oh you're Zhang Yixing's dad, right." The fan saw warmth and love in the father's eyes as he was looking at his son's poster.

Interviewer asked “Who’s the most blur member in the group?” All answered Luhan. He started asking about first impressions and all the fans started shouting Kai and Luhan’s names cos they were

supposed to talk about the person on their right. and just nice Luhan was standing at Kai’s right side. So Kai said Luhan is very pretty.

Then the interviewer say we can ask one more person and the fans screamed for Hunhan! Sehun was embarrassed and turned shy (I guess he couldnt answer the question) so the interviewer asked Luhan about his first impression of Sehun. Luhan: “Sehun is very PLAYFUL, LIKE A SMALL KID and makes PEOPLE FEEL LIKE TAKING CARE OF HIM.”

Because Kai and Luhan were seen whispering to each other throughout the whole time when they were standing. Fans started screaming “Kailu! Kailu!” and Sehun heard the loud cheers and since he didnt understand, he turned to Kris and asked what’s the commotion about. Kris told him (must be telling him that’s just the cheers for Kai and Luhan this couple) and Sehun’s face fell and rolled his eyes without hesitation.--The fan was using her binoculars and she said its the truth and please dont attack her. Oh why would we, lol.

Tao Injured his leg .. Tao and Kai were either on stretchers or held by the staff when they went out of the hall at the end of the

showcase. Tao couldnt even stand up at the end of the press con and all of the members surrounded him.

Baekhyun held Tao and helped him to stand up. T_____T The chinese fan who saw that scene of Tao and Kai who couldnt walk properly cried.

After the Time control performance with Kai and Luhan, the audience began to shout out “KaiLu! KaiLu!” Kai said that Luhan is cute and attractive in chinese. Luhan said when he first met Sehun, he just thought Sehun was like a child and really wanted to take after him. Lay’s father went to support his son. Tao’s parents went too. Lay hopes to be able to perform all around the world with EXO. Xiumin and Suho suddenly went to go hug Luhan. Tao held hands with Baekhyun. Suho said he is always coordinating with Kris as leaders, to keep EXO in harmony. via: sment_exo

Sehun said he didn’t know what true friendship was until he had met Luhan. Apparently the chinese fans were holding up a banner with “CHICKS FROM CHINA LOVE EXO” and the EXO

members were laughing and waving to them in the car. cr: wsdeoubasang Luhan was whispering a lot to Kai because he was doing translations. cr: heechvl Kai gave a heart to fans. via: galaexo Kai shown his abs again. Kris said he is looking forward to meet their fans Kris is not pleased. In fact, he got really “annoyed/unhappy whenever the fans shouting out his name” (I would

be annoyed too if they shout out my name every time Suho’s talking, but Suho have more patience than Kris obviously. He’s good leader.) This Chinese fan, she is a fan of Kris, so she keep shouting out his name in the showcase, which got him annoyed. Then they were talking about the first impression thing.

Tao said something about Baekhyun, but she couldn’t hear anything. Only noticed that his voice is pretty soft. Then Baekhyun talked about meeting Xiumin the first time, he thought Xiumin looked mean, but he’s actually

pretty cute. Xiumin talked about Chen how he thought Chen looked mean, but Chen is really gentle person. Then she skipped

the part about where Chen talked about Suho (I thought that’s pretty rude that she just ignored Chen like that, but hey, she probably forgot about him.)

Suho then talked about Kai, saying that Kai seemed cold, but he’s nice. When Kai talked about Luhan, then the fans keep on screaming Hunhan (honestly, I’m just a little embarrassed of

my fandom right there because it’s rude to do that). The Mc told them to be quiet, and Kai saying Luhan is pretty and cute. MC tried to correct him on saying Luhan should be pretty and handsome.

Luhan saying Lay is very loquacious, very optimistic person. Lay talked about D.O is really happy-go-lucky kind of guy, makes people laugh kind. D.O saying Sehun is really tall, even now he thinks him really cute. Sehun said that Chanyeol is taller than him, but sort of feminine at the same time, she really doesn’t exactly

understand what Sehun is referring to. Chanyeol said about Kris, this is the funny part, he only said wow he’s actually taller than me kind of words, this

and Kris is really cool. Kris said that Tao is charismatic and handsome kid. Due to the fact that audience are going crazy (I mean, figuratively and literally), they were screaming about

Hunhan all the fucking time. So the MC asked Luhan about his impression of Sehun, he said that he’s like kid, he love to move, and that Luhan has strong urge to protect him. Guess Luhan is the top in relationship, huh. Kris was whispering to Chanyeol.

[FANACCT] 120408 A backstage crew member's account on EXO-M

I am not a fan of any of the groups but as crew I have an access to backstage.

In actual fact backstage happenings isn’t like what you would normally see on TV, stars don’t interact much with others, those that you see are previously scripted.

Because of my age, I don’t really fancy any idols, and I’m not really familiar with any of their names so I feel like I don’t have the right to say much. F

I’ll just say what I feel about EXO.

Every idol has their own make up and dressing room, but it isn’t as comfortable/relaxing place as you think. There is a specific time as to when an idol must arrive at the venue and if he/she doesn’t make an appearance then, the performance slot would be forfeited. Most idols get ready a few hours before for convenience purposes.

This isn’t the first time I’m meeting a new group, most of the time I just don’t get the chance to sit down and chat with them. I can remember EXO’s leader’s name but as for the rest of the members, I only have a vague memory of their names. My first and really deep impression of them: really courteous and they bow really sincerely. Although the bowing wasn’t done to (person who wrote this), he/she was rather taken aback by their gesture because when the members were bowing their backpack actually hit their own heads (which mean they bowed really low)

Of course every artist would be nervous before stage entrance, be it new or experienced idols, nervousness can’t be avoided. Because I don’t really know all of their names, I’ll just write what I remember.

1. Before getting on stage, one of the members (pretty tall guy) stood at the stairs and called his parents

2. Basically for all other artistes they would stay backstage for awhile, and go on stage expressionless after. But for EXO it was different. Leader patted one member’s (rather short guy) back and told him about the after performance dinner that was planned.

3. After the PD’s queue, one of them was really cute, being silly and cheerful for nothing

4. Because it wasn’t live TV, they had it recorded twice initially. After the first recording they headed straight for the dressing room. They looked pretty contented with their first round of performance. After that 2 members came out of the dressing room with their hands over each other’s shoulders

5. The next time I saw them backstage was around the ending, perhaps they were already tired, two members say on the floor, and had their faces covered. One of them was speaking to the leader, but all of them were really quietly, no idea why.

6. When getting off stage some of them held hands and lowered their heads. Their eyes faces and eyes were red.

I only heard after the event about what happened on stage, with the award winners expressing his views on MIC’s unfair treatment. I understand the coldness and unwelcomed feeling one gets upon stepping into the society. I also know how it feels to be unfairly treated in this society, but it’s just how this works, there is no other alternative

[FANACCT] 1204027 Pre-Debut Kai

This friend of mine had a friend who was a fan of SHINee’s Onew. There was once when it was raining and she had waited at SM’s building for Onew and she hadn’t brought an umbrella with her. Kai saw her and asked who she was waiting for. She said onew, Kai told that SHINee had left the company’s building and that she shouldn’t wait anymore. Seeing that she didn’t have an umbrella with her, Kai gave her his. Ever since then this girl has been a fan of Kai, she thinks of him as a really kind boy. And the umbrella is still with her until now

[FANACCT] 120408 Full Inkigayo Pre-Recording and Mini Fan Meeting

My friends and I left our dorm at 5am for Inkigayo. But apparently some fans had even come the night before and camped out. Since EXO-K’s album hasn’t come out yet there was no priority in line. So it was basically first come first serve. We were around #150. But apparently over 400 fans signed up! But in the end I think there was a little over 300 of us. The staff gave each of us a mini poster, a copy of the fanchants, and a balloon. Apparently the color of the balloon is called Pearl Terra cotta? Or something like that? I’m not sure whether it’s going to be the official color though.

At around 9am they let us in for the pre-recording of MAMA. When the members came out they first did their introduction and then immediately got into position. Since they are rookies they have to work hard and not mess around or the PD and other staff might get irritated. I felt bad because at the beginning of the MAMA choreography they are on their knee’s so they had to spend a lot of time waiting in that position before each take >< You could tell it was hard for them because they would start to lift up to relieve the pressure on their legs a little bit and then go back down. Every time they did this the fangirls screamed like crazy lol. Finally the music started and they began to perform. Just in case you didn’t already know, they are amazing performers! They were very good at eyeing the camera and just going all out.

After they finished the first time they immediately walked off stage. We waited for a little while and then eventually they came out and again immediately got into position. This time Kai started to go down on his knee’s first but then lost his balance and reached out and used Chanyeol’s butt to steady himself since Chanyeol was standing in front of him! LOL The fans went crazy. They once again performed the whole song straight through without any mistakes. During the third take Kai got down first again and once he was down he stroked the back of Chanyeol’s thigh to tell him to come down too (although I also think he did a lot of this on purpose just to drive the fans crazy^^). One thing I noticed is that you could definitely tell that Kai was in charge when it came to dancing. When the members weren’t positioned correctly he would touch them and tell them to move in the right direction. They would also go to him when they had questions about a

certain part of the choreography and then he would show them. It was so nice to see them work together. And even though he is one of the younger members you could tell that they valued his opinion as a dancer.

After the third take I was really worried because it seemed as though Kai was in some pain. I had previously heard that he hurt his ankle. But I think it was his waist that was giving him trouble. As they were leaving the stage I saw him rubbing his lower back. Then Baekhyun came up behind him and put his hands on Kai’s waist as they walked off stage~ A little later (we did a lot of waiting) they came out for the fourth time. They once again immediately got into position. I felt so bad because this time they had to wait for a very long time on their knee’s >< finally the PD told them they could relax for a moment. They stretched out a little but basically still kept in position. They were extremely professional throughout the entire day. Even though fans would scream their names and yell things at them they did not turn around or acknowledge any of it. This is very important as a rookie group. Once they’re more well established they can be more playful on stage. I can’t wait for that!^^

They got through another flawless performance ( the only reason they did so many takes was so the cameramen could get different angles or they wanted to change the lighting). They then turned to us and said their group introduction one more time and then waved as they left. Baekhyun was once again close behind Kai and as they were almost out of sight I saw Baekhyun tap Kai on the butt keke. It was around 10:15 by this time so they had spent about an hour performing MAMA. After this we had to go back outside and wait for the History pre-recording at 12:30pm.

When it got closer to 12:30 the staff moved the line to the front door. The building is somewhat hard to explain but there are these windows that are semi-tinted. They cover a staircase and some sort of lounge area but you can still see in. We were standing waiting to get in when some of the girls started to scream and were pointing at the window. At first I didn’t really pay attention because we had seen EXO walk down the staircase already. But then I heard someone mention Onew’s name. SHINee has always been my all time favorite group (just in case you didn’t already know lol) and Onew is my ultimate bias! So I quickly moved to get a better look but by then no one was at the window. I moved back to my spot and tried not to feel upset about missing him. But then a few minutes later they started screaming again. So once again I quickly moved to get a better look. There was Onew sitting on the floor staring out the window waving and smiling brightly! He was only a couple floors above us so he was really close! He looked so happy and started pumping his hands in the air^^ He was just like a child lol. He made sure to take the time and look at each one of us and smile and wave! I was so happy!! Next Kibum popped up with his bright blonde hair, he also waved at everyone but left much quicker than Onew.

We were then let back into the studio for EXO-K’s performance of History. I was a little dismayed because they had started before we had come in so everyone quickly ran to their seats. They did an amazing job as usual and then quickly left the stage. One funny thing I noticed about Kai is that he would always lower his jacket to expose his shoulders as he was leaving the stage rather than waiting until he was out of sight lol. Anyways, I was sitting right next to the entrance stairway by the corner of the studio. While we were waiting I was looking at the staff and security guards who were speaking on the stairs when suddenly something blonde caught the corner of my eye. I turned slightly and to my shock Jonghyun and Key were standing at the back. When they saw I had noticed them they quickly put their fingers to their lips and motioned me to stay quiet. I quietly turned back around. I then whispered to my friend and she slightly turned and saw them and then turned back to the front. We didn’t want to ruin them being there by making a commotion so we continued to stay calm and face forward (even though Jonghyun was in a sleeveless shirt and Key looked absolutely flawless!). But unfortunately some other fan noticed and started screaming and then they all started screaming. So Key and Jonghyun had to immediately exit the studio.

EXO then came back out and got into position. Just like MAMA this choreography starts out with their backs to us. So while they were waiting for the staff to get ready we watched Kai poke Sehun in the back. Sehun didn’t respond so Kai did it again. Once again Sehun didn’t respond. So then Kai began repeatedly poking him in the back until he finally turned and

looked at him (who is really the youngest here?? lol). Also, the History performance included confetti falling on them. So Chanyeol, who was in the middle, suddenly lifted his hands to brush confetti out of Baekhyun and Suho’s hair at the same time. It was so adorable. He did it a couple of times before takes. I wondered why he was the only one who kept doing it when I realized that he’s the only one who could see the top of their heads! LOL. Later on Kai also began picking confetti out of D.O.’s hair too.

Anyways, they once again started performing History for the second time. I tried to concentrate on the performance but at the same time I was a little sad that Jonghyun and Key wouldn’t get to watch. I slightly turned one more time just to see if maybe they snuck back in while the fans were busy watching the performance and they had! Jonghyun was singing along to the song! It was so cute! I then turned back around and watched the rest of the performance. At the end I saw Jonghyun clap and make the fighting pose for them. Then he and Key waved at us and left. I was so happy to see them supporting EXO^^

Afterwards EXO performed History two more times if I remember correctly, so a total of four. All the members waved at us as they exited the stage. Kai seemed like he was in pain ;~; But he still made sure to wave continuously at the fans before he went out of sight and bowed deeply to all the staff^^

Unfortunately we were not able to get into the live broadcast since there were so many big name groups there but it was okay because we already got to see MAMA and History a bunch of times and we still had the fanmeeting to look forward to. We left to go eat and then came back a little before 5pm to line up again. A lot of people were watching the live broadcast on cellphones or other electronic devices (kind of a weird experience since we were literally right outside of the show!). It was really chaotic because we were in between VIP’s and Shawol’s. As you probably already know these two groups both had a chance of winning. So we waited for the screams to tell which side had won. And sure enough the Shawols all began screaming lol. I was really happy because all the EXO fans clapped for them^^

Anyways, we had been told that the fanmeeting would start around 6 but it turned out that Big Bang was pre-recording for next week and SHINee was having the suprise birthday party for Jonghyun all in the same studio. So we had to wait for both groups to finish before we could go in. We waited for about an hour and then they moved us to the front door where we waited another hour. As we were waiting we were once again near those windows. This time someone opened the window of the top floor and stuck their hand out. At first we had no idea what was happening but then they dropped a little folded piece of paper! We all watched as it fell towards some of the people a little ahead of me in line. There was a commotion and they all reached for it. Finally one person grabbed it and opened it and then read it out loud. It said 사랑해요(I love you) on it! Then the window next to the one the first note came out of opened and the same hand popped out and dropped a second note. I’m pretty sure it said the same thing, but I couldn’t really hear very well. It was so adorable though!! I kind of thought it might be Kai. Now before you say I am Kai biased so I would say that, hear me out! D.O. and I think it was Suho were on the staircase so it couldn’t have been them. Also, the hand was a little tan. And Kai is more tan than the other members. Also other people around us said they thought it was Kai’s hand too so it wasn’t just me! But maybe some Korean fan will figure it out and post it.

Anyways, we finally got to go inside but the staff told us that because we were last the fanmeeting will have to be really short I didn’t really know what to expect from the fanmeeting but I had assumed the members would stand on stage and talk to us. But when we got inside they were dressed in new outfits and there was a new stage set-up. The staff gave them a mic and they did their introduction and then Suho talked very very briefly before the staff took the mic back. We were all kind of annoyed that they wouldn’t let them talk more but there was nothing we could do. I’m not really sure what this performance was for but they started recording MAMA again (maybe for next week’s inkigayo?). Anyways as they were performing there was one part where Baekhyun was singing and moving closer to the front of the stage. As he was singing his part these sparklers went off and it seemed like one hit him in the face. He immediately stopped performing and stood there holding his eye. The members continued to perform but you could tell they were shaken. But the music continued to play. I’ll still never understand why they didn’t stop the music immediately! He finally started dancing again briefly before they stopped the music. He immediately crouched down and once again covered his eye. It was scary! We were all extremely worried. The members and staff ran over to him to see if he was okay. They then pulled him up and all I remember is seeing Chanyeol with his arm around Baekhyun guiding him off stage

They were gone for a little bit when one of the staff members came out and told us not to worry. He said Baekhyun was fine and they were just rinsing out his eye. After a couple more minutes the members walked back out onstage with Baekhyun coming in last. He seemed genuinely okay and the staff gave him a microphone so he could tell us himself. They then started performing MAMA a second time. This time Sehun slipped and fell on his knee. We all cringed but he just got right back up and continued performing. They must have been so tired but they continued to work really hard! After they were done they walked off stage without saying goodbye. I thought this meant that they would be performing again but then security started making us leave. The weird part was that they had us exit single file in order of our number. This made me think something was up since they had always let us exit in no specific order. As they guided us outside to the front door I saw that they were seating us in rows! The real fanmeeting was about to begin! It was really cold and already dark outside but we were all super excited to see them again!

The staff brought out a cake for them and then told us to sing the Happy Birthday song. But instead of Happy Birthday they told us to say Happy ‘the first’ or something like that. They finally showed up and walked up the steps to reach us. It was really funny because D.O. made Chanyeol move back a step when they were all standing together so that they were all the same height LOL. They did their group introduction and then their individual introductions. Baekhyun went first. It was so good to see him smiling and know that he really was okay. Next was Kai. The funny thing about Kai is that he’ll try to act serious but the minute they hand him a mic he gets all giggly and smiley^^ After Kai was Sehun. I think he’s really shy cuz he was so quiet that we couldn’t even hear what he was saying but it was adorable. D.O. went next and at one point had that look on his face like at the showcase! I can’t really explain it but it’s so funny! I don’t remember why though >< Chanyeol was next and he smiled really big when he got a lot of screams^^ His eyes are so huge. And he is so adorably awkward! Suho went last and introduced himself like at the showcase, by calling himself the guardian of the EXO members. He then put his arm around Baekhyun and pulled him close and said I protected Baekhyun well didn’t I^^ and Baekhyun just smiled

After that the staff lit the candle on the cake and we sang to them. It was kind of a fail, but we did our best lol. Then they got the knife and put all five of their hands together to cut it. They all let go about halfway through the cake (it had like four layers) except Kai. He pushed the knife all the way to the bottom then pulled the knife back out. As he pulled it out he sprayed the people in the front row with pieces of cake and looked completely unapologetic ( so mischievous lol). Suho talked a little bit more but it was hard to hear. Then all together they said they would work hard and then said their goodbye’s to us. The whole time two cameramen were filming. It would be so awesome if they had a tv show! Let’s keep our fingers crossed! I fall in love with this group more and more everyday^^

Luhan's junior said he was really popular in high school and he once told his teacher that his dream was to be a

singer. Luhan got spotted by SM's staff at myeongdong that's why he auditioned and got into SM. Kris hopes to have more collaborations with his SM seniors and they give him a lot of care and concern. Tao says his waist is a lot better now but still needs to take care, he did the flip anyway. Kris and luhan are the laziest they refuse to get out of bed at times. Luhan hates having others on his bed and he'll kick them off The members exchange their underwears and socks in the dorms, grab and wear. Lay likes eating tidbits, sweet and salty stuffs but he clears up after them because he doesn't like leaving things

lying around. Kris talks in his sleep, english, mandarin and cantonese sometimes even the members don't understand. They have an equal split of chores and clear up after their done with the own meals, the maknae does not do

everything and Tao says the members especially kris takes care of him a lot. Lay said tao's buing buing is the cutest and when he wants to go somewhere and needs accompaniment he'll do

the buing buing. Kris said that Tao's aegyo works on him. When asked who's the most popular among girls, everyone said luhan and kris. Tao: Kris' style suits the more mature girls while luhan's fans are the schoolgirls, slightly younger kind. Lay likes cooking, and he is really cheerful and somewhat humorous in the dorms. Xiumin packs his clothes really neatly and he's the most organised person among EXO-M. Luhan's talent is rubiks cube but there wasn't one there so he sang. Lay's talent is the guitar and piano but there wasn't one at the venue so he was supposed to dance Wondergirl's

nobody but he forgot the dance moves already. Kris likes to do magic. Can you tell us the meaning behind this title and why it was chosen as the single?Kris: Nowadays the internet (and cellphones) is very big so there might be less face-to-face interactions. With this song what we wanted to express was the most intimate (closest?) relations and feelings between people so we chose this song.(MV shown)Host: We just watched your MV and aside from the music, the dance was also impressive. Did you receive any specific dance training before?Lay: Before entering the company, I hadn't received any special training. How did you enter the SM company?(Kris lets Lay speak first but Lay says, "Leader first"--how cute xD)Kris: Everyone is different. I was studying in Canada and joined through the global auditions in 2007.

Lay: I was in a competition in Wu Han when I was chosen by the company.Lu Han: I was selected in 2010 on the streets in Korea. (host comments on how interesting this is)(The other members go on to say how they were chosen...we've heard it all before.)Host: As a group through your interactions were there any moments that you were unfamiliar and how would you come together to become a close group?(I like how Tao sways from side to side here. Ha.)Kris: At first there might be some language barriers between the Korean and Chinese membeners. But since we practiced as a unit of 12 people we formed close connections. Through working hard together we slowly got to know each other so now there's no problems between us.Host: After 100 days you received so much attention, which must be very exciting and encouraging. In the future do you think you can do better than the other (Chinese) male groups?Lay: I think we still have many things we can learn from other groups. Since we're special in that we're promoted by a Korean company with Chinese members, this Chinese-Korean...Chinese...(that disappointed expression in himself! so cute.)Kris: We hope that we can tell our seniors to recognize us. Since we're promoting in the Chinese industry we hope that we can become recognized as a fellow Chinese group and meet with Chinese fans.Host: So I know Lu Han's birthday is coming up...(brings out cake from the fans)Lu Han: Thank you very much everyone for your support for EXO-M. In the future we will continue to work hard and not disappoint you and show a beautiful stage for everyone to see.Host: Our fans have a couple of questions for you as well. The first question asks why Kris is the leader? How do you guys think he is as a leader?Lu Han: He normally takes good care of people and he can speak three different languages, Chinese, English and Korean, so when our group performs in different countries, it's good that he has these language abilities.Host: Kris, as a leader do you feel any pressure or more responsibility?

Kris: Yes. At first when the company gave me the role I felt pressure, because I wondered if I would be able to fulfill the role well since it is important to everyone in this group. But because everyone treats me so well I've never thought that it was very difficult so I just try to fulfill this role in everyone's best interest.Host: Can you talk about each other so we can know more about you?Tao: Then I'll say something. I'll talk about Lay. When I first entered the company, he was very hardworking in practicing, he helped me with dancing, he spent a lot of effort in helping me.Chen: Kris is very good as a leader of a group with both Korean and Chinese members. If there's any problems with the group he will approach it very fairly and solve the problem.Xiu Min: Lu Han has a very likable personality and his appearance is also very pretty and handsome. He also gives people a comfortable feeling.Lu Han: I'll talk about Chen then. I'm envious of how well he can sing his high notes and regularly guide us in singing, but without being haughty/arrogant/proud.Lay: I think Tao is very focused and I hope he can take care of his waist and leg injuries.Kris: Who hasn't been talked about...ah, Xiu Min. We're the same age so in Korea there are older-younger relationships but we're good friends in the same year (he's trying to explain the concept of chingu in Chinese I think). So if I'm the Chinese leader, then he's like the Korean member that takes care of the group and he helps me a lot and he's also a very good friend. He has a very nice character.Host: For Lu Han, Lay, Tao and Kris, now that you're back in China what are your feelings now that you're promoting in your homeland?Lu Han: Very happy that we can return to our homeland.Host: Do you have any personal goals that you'd like to achieve here?Lu Han: I hope that we can make our music even better for everyone to see.(Host gives them 30s to promote their album)Kris: This time with our first mini album, we hope you will like it.
