Activity: see MORE

• Pair up with someone in the room• Pick one person to describe how they see themselves;

‒ Try to keep it to a sentence or two• Now with that description in hand, repeat it back to the person and give it a

little MORE‒ You are the director

• Show of hands on who the describers are• Find a new person in the room to give your description to and incorporate the

MORE feedback you got from the previous interaction• Let’s do this one more time• How did it make you feel to hear about yourself from the first time to the last

time?• Do these descriptions resonate with your dreams, desires, beliefs?• How many people feel that they couldn’t live up to the description given of

them?• Was it hard to see someone you didn’t know as MORE?• Anything else surprise you or intrigue you about this activity?

“Nobody grows old merely by living a number of

years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin but to

give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul”

Activity: What is on your mind at work?

• We connect with issues at an emotional level• We don’t always have to focus on the negative – we can look at positive things

too• We’ll do an activity called Mad, Sad, Glad

‒ I’ll be passing out sticky notes and would like you to write down things at work that make you mad, sad or glad

‒ 1 thought per sticky note‒ Write legibly‒ You’ll have 4 minutes‒ When you are finished I invite you to come and post them on the wall

• Now we’ll group and cluster them• Take a grouping that resonates with you

• Develop a SMART goal that you will take back to work with you‒ SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely‒ Include 1-5 action steps

• Any volunteers to share their SMART goal?
