EYES IMPORTANCE • Close your eyes and imagine you

have not seen ever since the world and yourself

• Eyes are very important for the human body. It helps the human body to do its tasks with coordination.

• Without eyes, the five basic senses would not be complete. So, it should be present.

Why we care ?• Most of our work is done on computers, and there is

usually no escape from it. It is a visually intensive task and, unfortunately, our work pressure and lifestyles do not give us the opportunity to be kind to our eyes.

• Too much screen time lead to something called computer vision syndrome (CVS).

• Eyestrain, blurred vision, itchy eyes, and occasional double vision.

Use proper lighting.

• Eye strain often is caused by excessively bright light

• Eliminate exterior light by closing drapes, shades or blinds.

• Direct glaring light isn't the best lighting solution.

• Positioning lights behind the monitor, reducing the strain on the eyes.

Minimize glare.• Glare on walls and finished

surfaces as well as reflections on the computer screen can also cause computer eyestrain.

• Install an anti-glare screen on your monitor

• AR coating reduces glare by minimizing the amount of light reflecting off the front

USE GOOD POSTURE• A comfortable office chair is a

great investment to maintain good posture while working on our computers.

• using laptops, we can easily forget the value of good posture

• unnecessary strain on our lower backs and necks that can contribute to Computer Vision Syndrome

Upgrade your display.• Replace your old tube-style monitor with a flat-

panel (LCD)• Old-fashioned CRT screens can cause a

noticeable "flicker" of images, which is a major cause of computer eye strain.

• Select a screen with the highest resolution possible.

• select a display that has a diagonal screen size of at least 19 inches.

• Clean the monitor regularly. Dust can decrease screen sharpness, making the eyes work harder.

Adjust computer display settings.• Display settings of your computer can help reduce eye strain and

fatigue.

• Brightness. - Approximately the same as the brightness of your surrounding workstation

• Text size and contrast - Text size and contrast for comfort. black print on a white background is the best combination for comfort.

• Color temperature - Spectrum of visible light emitted by a color display. Blue light is short-wavelength visible light cause more eye strain. Reduce the blue light emitted by a display for better long-term viewing comfort.

Blink more often.

• Blinking moistens your eyes to prevent dryness and irritation.

• Tears coating the eye evaporate more rapidly during long non-blinking phases and this can cause dry eyes.

• To reduce your risk of dry eyes Every 20 minutes, blink 10 times by closing your eyes as if falling asleep (very slowly). This will help rewet your eyes.

Exercise your eyes.

• Cause of computer eye strain is focusing fatigue.

• "20-20-20 rule." relaxes the focusing muscle inside the eye to reduce fatigue.

Take frequent breaks.

• To reduce your risk for computer vision syndrome and neck, back and shoulder pain, take frequent breaks during your computer work day.

• Make every attempt to take a break every hour or so.

• It will give your body a chance to stretch out a bit and get the blood flowing to help clear your mind for a better focus.

normally wear contact lenses that can become dry and uncomfortable during work.• Computer glasses are a specific type of eyewear and typically should not be worn

CONCLUSION• All of these tips can allow you to get your best

work done when working on the computer. Protecting yourself from your computer is just the thing that can lead to awesome work when you’re using it.

• Remember that a good user experience isn’t just set by the computer, it often can be set by the user’s habits as well.
