Benefits of Personal TrainingSerious athletes have long used personal trainers to enhance their performance in competition. Movie stars are known to hire personal trainers to keep them fitting into their Oscar gowns. But the people who benefit most from personal training are ordinary men and women seeking to be stronger and function more effectively in their everyday lives.

Working with a trainer, anyone can achieve their fitness goals—goals as modest as touching your toes again or as ambitious as preparing to run a marathon. Whether you want to lose weight, regain flexibility, develop speed or simply feel good again, personal training is an activity from which you will continue to reap benefits in years to come.

Our personal trainers’ main objectives are to assist, guide, and educate those who wish to experience a greater ease and physical ability in their lives.

6 Online Registration FALL 2014

Winnetka Community House is thrilled to announce that as of July 1, we have launched a new online registra-tion system. We will now be working with ActiveNet to provide a more robust, easier to use and faster system to register for all of your family’s activities at WCH.

To register, visit us at winnetkacommunityhouse.org and click Register Now. You’ll switch to our registra-tion site where you’ll be able to view and sign up for activities, memberships and more! Before registering, you’ll need to need to create a new account (Unfortu-nately, accounts on our previous system were not car-ried over unless you have a Household Membership).

To start your account, just click “Create an Account” in the upper right hand cor-ner. Follow the steps to en-ter your information and you can then choose to add family members to your ac-count. Once you’re finished you will receive a verification email from Winnetka Com-munity House. Click the link in the verification email, and you’ll be ready to register for activities!

FALL 2014 Online Registration 7

If you know what activities you’re looking for, you can just type them into the search bar. If not, you can choose from categories in the Activities dropdown menu at the top, or “See All Activities.” The new Activity Search lets you narrow your search by day of the week, time of day, age group or even instructor.

Once you find what you’re looking for, just click “Add to cart” and select which family member will be partici-pating. You can keep shopping or proceed to checkout.

One great new feature is the Wish List. You can now search for your family’s activities before registration be-gins, and click “Add to Wish List” for activities you’re interested in. Then when registration opens, you can add items from your Wish List to your Shopping cart and sign up in seconds!

Once you have chosen all of your activities, click on “My Cart” and “Proceed to Checkout.” You’ll see any applicable waivers for your activities, enter payment in-formation and you’re done! You can see your receipt, and we’ll email you a confirmation.

If you haven’t signed up for a WCH Household Mem-bership, you can do this anytime before you check out. Just click the Membership button on the front page or on the navigation bar of any page. You can also add a Household Membership from your shopping cart. You’ll automatically have access to early registration and discounted rates for WCH Members.

The My Account page gives you access to a great deal of information. You can view activity schedules for the whole family, see transactions, add or edit family mem-ber information or manage payment details.

You can also donate directly to Winnetka Community House via the “Donations” button. As you may know, Winnetka Community House is completely privately funded and receives no tax dollars. Our ability to pro-vide programs and activities for your family, support for other local organizations and make improvements to our services like this depend on your donations.

Thank you for supporting Winnetka Community House.

Since its creation in 1999, On-the-Go Sports Inc. has been committed to enriching the lives of America’s youth by encouraging young people to become involved in sports. By becoming active in a particular sport and being a part of a team environment, children can gain a positive attitude, increased confidence levels, and respect both on and off the playing field. Empirical data suggests that children who are involved in athletics receive better grades in school, higher college attendance rates, and become more productive adults within their communities. On-the-Go Sports is dedicated to teaching teamwork, respect for self and others, and goal setting in a fun, friendly and exciting environment. At On-the-Go Sports Inc., our founding belief and principle is that the best coaches are those who have excelled in their respective sport but more importantly, possess the aptitude,

skill level and patience to teach youth participants. Building upon that belief, we have created partnerships with intercollegiate athletic departments and professional sports organizations in the Midwest to find staff members for our camps and clinics. Our most distinguishing factor quite simply is that every staff member has played the sport they coach at the collegiate, semi-professional, and/or professional level. On-the-go Sport’s coaching staff is among the most elite and truly represent the apex of youth sports training and skill development. We pride ourselves on combining the 3 C’s (Credibility, Credentials and Competence) with the 3 E’s (Energy, Experience and Expertise) to create a wonderful sports atmosphere and learning environment for area youth!

Winnetka Community House is committed to conducting its recreation programs and activities in the safest manner possible, and holds the safety of the participants in the highest possible regard. Participants and parents registering their child in recreation programs must recognize, however, that there is an inherent risk of injury when choosing to participate in recreation activities. Winnetka Community House continually strives to reduce such risks, and insists that all participants follow safety rules and instructions which have been designed to protect the participants’ safety. Please recognize that Winnetka Community House does not carry medical accident insurance for injuries sustained in its programs. The cost of such would make program fees prohibitive. Therefore, each person registering himself\herself or a family member for a recreation program/activity should review his/her own health insurance policy for coverage. It must be noted that the absence of health insurance coverage does not make Winnetka Community House automatically responsible for payment of medical expenses. Due to the difficulty and high cost of obtaining liability insurance, the agency providing liability coverage for Winnetka Community House requires the execution of the following Waiver and Release. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Please read this form carefully, and be aware in participating in the program(s) listed on this page, you will be waiving and releasing all claims for injuries you might sustain arising out of the activities of this program.

I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I may have as a result of participating in the program against Winnetka Community House and its officers, agents, servants and employees. I do hereby fully release and discharge Winnetka Community House and its officers, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damages or loss which I may have or which may accrue to me on account of my participation. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend Winnetka Commu-nity House and its officers, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims from injuries, including death, damages or losses sustained by me or arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with the activities of the program. In the event of emergency, I authorize Winnetka Community House officials to secure from any licensed hospital, physician, and/or medical personnel any treatment deemed necessary for my immediate care, and agree that I will be responsible for payment of any and all medical services required.
