Upsell panel after pricing in cryptic: The follow-up upsell transaction FXY1 can be used after pricing/best pricing transaction. In this case, the upsell is computed from the priced fare families and returns proposals in higher fare families.

Upsell panel key follow-up transactions: FQF: the FQF transaction can be performed at any time in order to see the characteristics of the proposed upsells. FXU/FXZ: in order to book one of the proposed upsells, the FXU or FXZ transactions can be used. FXU wil rebook the same way as the FXZ, but also create the corresponding TST. The line of the upsell proposal is targeted in the FXU/FXZ transanction. In case of multiple passengers in the PNR, all the corresponding upsell proposals have to be selected. Otherwise, an error messsage is returned: “ALL SOLUTIONS ARE NOT IN SAME BOOKING CLASS”

Fare families description in cryptic: The fare families description can be requested after a fare family is displayed: - After a pricing using FQF1 (or the recommendation

number from a pricing list) - After a teaser using FQF/TS - After an upsell panel FQFn (“n” being the

recommendation number) ex: FQF3 will display fare family description for recommendation 3

Airline fare families in Amadeus Amadeus travel agencies can easily book the different airlines’ fare families and access important information on fares conditions, as well as services and options associated to a specific fare family. Thanks to the upsell functionalities, Amadeus travel agents benefit from automated upgrade proposals and can easily offer to their customers more comfort and flexibility.

Where are they available? Amadeus fare families are available in: - Amadeus Selling Platform Classic (cryptic) - Amadeus Selling Platform Connect - AeTM - All Fares + - Web services

Key features

Pricing by fare families:

The price by fare family allows the travel agent to target a specific fare family in a pricing/best pricing transaction.

The input /FF-FFNAME can be used combined with any

existing pricing option except "price by fare basis". Fare families can be requested at segment level and up to 6 fare families can be requested within the same pricing entry. A fare family name cannot be longer than 10 alphanumeric characters.

FXB/FF-ECOFF: this command returns the cheapest fare for the full itinerary in the requested fare family. FXP/FF2-ECOFF/FF3-ECORESTRFF: this command returns the cheapest fare for the booked class in the requested fare family:

ECOFF for the flight segment 2

ECORESTRFF for the flight segment 3

Full itinerary is priced (system default)

FXP/S2,5/FF2-ECOFF/FF5-ECORESTRFF

ECOFF for the flight segment 2

ECORESTRFF for the flight segment 5

Only segments 2 and 5 are priced

The price by fare family does not override the pricing rules nor the fare construction. It is only a filter and only the requested fare families are returned.

Upsell teaser after pricing in cryptic:

The upsell teaser is returned upon any pricing/best pricing transaction (FXP, FXX, FXB, FXA). The upsell teaser is an appended line that proposes the chepeast fare in the next higher fare family. The price difference and the proposed fare families are displayed:

The upsell transaction for cryptic

users: The transaction FXY can be performed at any time, even if a PNR has not been priced yet.

The upsell transaction FXY returns the lowest available fare for all the passengers in the lowest fare family and 6 upsell proposals, which are the lowest applicable fares in the next higher fare families.

Homogeneous upsell panel in cryptic: The upsell transaction can return homogeneous propositions with the option FXY/FFH. Using this option, all the fare families will be returned in output if available.
