Field Services- Enforcement Officers Do Much More Than Just Issue Parking Tickets Presented by: Jim Sayre and Jeff Horesowsky Slide 2 Field Services Overview 8 full time staff members 6 Field Services Officers 1 Lead Officer 1 Manager 12 Part time student officers Why we call it Field Services Slide 3 Special Event Support In 2013 Field Services provided 1,571 staff hours to support campus events. Some examples of events we supported include: 1.Athletic Events (Football, Basketball, NCAA tournaments) Slide 4 Football Parking Slide 5 Special Event Support In 2013 Field Services provided 1,571 staff hours to support campus events. Some examples of events we supported include: 1.Athletic Events (Football, Basketball, NCAA tournaments) 2.New Student Orientations 3.Student Job Fairs 4.Performing Art Events 5.VIP Visitations (US president, other) Slide 6 Support Commuter Programs In 2013 Field Services provided over 300 staff hours to support our commuter programs. Some examples of programs we support: 1.Vanpool (drop off and pick up vans for service) 2.Biannual Bicycle Utilization Counts Slide 7 Slide 8 Support Commuter Programs In 2013 Field Services provided over 300 staff hours to support our commuter programs. Some examples of programs we support: 1.Vanpool (drop off and pick up vans for service) 2.Biannual Bicycle Utilization Counts 3.Cutting bike locks for customers who lost their key 4.Annual abandoned bike pick up, storage, and sale Slide 9 Motorist Assistance In 2013 Field Services provided assistance to 559 customers Some examples of assistance we provide: 1.Help getting vehicles dug out of the snow 2.Battery jump starts 3.Help locating a customers vehicle (354 in 2013) Slide 10 Slide 11 Intra-departmental mail Field Services makes intra-departmental mail runs two times per day, five days per week. This allows for our Fleet Services, Parking Services, Commuter Programs, Parking Operations, Cambus, and Administrative units to communication for efficiently and provide faster service to our customers. We receive campus mail from Mail Services twice per day. Slide 12 Support to Parking Operations Field Services supports Parking Operations in a number of ways. 1.Parking utilization counts two times per day. Every lot on campus is counted for capacity, twice per day. Every lot on campus is counted for capacity, twice per day. 2.Ramp Closure response team Slide 15 Enforcement of Parking Rules and Regulations With the little time thats remaining we issue parking citations. In FY13 we received approximately $469,000 in parking citation revenue. In FY13 our Field Services salaries and fringe were approximately $773,000 Slide 16 Questions?
