If you’re visiting Cornwall for an Off er-Holder Visit Day, you may wish to stay for the weekend and spend some time exploring either the local area or a few relatively local attractions. Choosing where to study is about more than just life on campus, so visiting some of these locations could be a great way to get to know the area better.

Make a weekend of it! Cornwall is fantastic. There’s no other way to put it. Now, I’ve heard plenty of people comment on the rumour that ‘little happens in Cornwall’ but this couldn’t be further from the truth. You’ve got everything you could want or need and in a lush, green countryside surrounded by the beautiful Atlantic no less. A vibrant and colourful nightlife full of quaint and charming independent pubs, bars and clubs, with everything from live folk gigs to house and dub on offer; there’s a little bit of everything for everyone. Not to mention all the outdoorsy stuff that the county is a perfect setting for: surfi ng, sea-swimming, kayaking, rock-climbing, coasteering, kite-surfi ng, wind-surfi ng and dozens of various sports clubs – you name it, Cornwall’s got it. Sure, it’s not the heaving metropolis that London is but, if anything, that’s a bonus. It’s all about feeling at home here.

At the FXU we know of so many students who travel here for a visit and fall in love with Falmouth and Cornwall so please do come down for one of our Visit Days and see for yourself the magic of Kernow!
