Dear Colleagues,

It gives me a great pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd SKMC Multispecialty Conference: Board Reviews and Clinical Updates held in Rosewood in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates during the period 13-17th of October, 2015. The conference is recognized by the American College of Physicians and endorsed by Abu Dhabi Health Services (SEHA) and Sheikh Khalifa Medical City.

In 2014 the First Multispecialty Conference Board Reviews and Clinical Updates was successfully attended by more than 700 delegates and a faculty of more than 90. The conference was well received and valued for its scientific content and the possibility for professional development for all healthcare professionals attending. It is therefore a pleasure to announce that Sheikh Khalifa Medical City will be hosting the 2nd edition of the Multispecialty Conference Board Reviews and Clinical Updates, 2015.

The 2015 conference will also this year hold parallel tracks in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics where attendees can grow and refresh knowledge of core topics and the subspecialties through discussion of common and not-so-common clinical problems. Moreover, taking the growing challenge of the cardio metabolic syndrome in the UAE into perspective, a dedicated part of the program will evolve around the cardiometabolic risk factors and its associated complications in order to prepare healthcare professionals in providing better care.

Through a culmination of collective efforts, the conference will convene over five days and present a high-level scientific content with major updates and state-of-the art presentations delivered by international and regional keynote speakers.

The conference is intended for all healthcare professionals, including doctors in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics (including all of its subspecialties), General Practitioners, Family Physicians, Medical Residents and Fellows, as well as allied health professionals.
