The Life of Judia LaRosa Gore

Judia LaRosa Gore, also affectionately known as “Judy” was born February 17, 1960 in Columbus County to Arneal and Patricia Gore. On Wednesday, January 8, 2020 she answered the call from our heavenly father and departed this earthly life.

Judy grew up in Columbus County, North Carolina and graduated from Whiteville High School. After graduation she continued her education at Barber Scotia College.

Judy was employed by Whiteville Apparel Sewing plant, during her employment she was known as a stella employee. She later accepted employment at Wal-Mart as a jewelry department manager until 2003 when her health wouldn’t allow her to continue.

Judy had a loving spirit that left a mark on everyone she knew. She had a heart of gold and opened up her home to everyone. She was not only a mother to her children but she had several others who called her momma. Judy was the glue that held her family together. She loved the Lord and was a member of Mill Branch Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Preston McDuffie Hall and her sister Priscilla Ann Gore.

Judy leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Lakisa Gore, Kimberly Gore and Alexys Gore of Whiteville, North Carolina; son, Tyrus Gore of Yokosuka, Japan; sisters, Sandra (Jerry) Gore of Whiteville, North Carolina, Gloria Davis of Catonsville, Maryland, and Pasty (Richard) Brown of Whiteville, North Carolina; brothers, Larry (Julia) Gore of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Danny Gore of Whiteville, North Carolina; eighteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; special sisters, Cathlyn Gore and Anita Hyatt; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was the pillar of strength for the family and will be missed dearly.

~ Order of Service ~ Reverend John Langley, Officiating

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In

my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that

where I am, there ye may be also. John 4:1-3 KJV
