MISSION:

“To Build a strong and greener world for the future"

VISION:

To be in the forefront of creating awareness about environment, & to be the largest player in the field of fly-ash brick production.

Why not clay bricks???

• The clay bricks which we use are made up of soil of specific quality, but due to which erosion of earth occurs.

• This job is too laborious and involves cost.• Natural seasons affect the quality and cost.• This brick production creates environmental

pollution.

6

Why Fly Ash Bricks???

• Helps to reduce the pollution• Demand consumption and increasing cost of clay

bricks, We came up with FLY ASH BRICKS.• The main raw material is fly ash, Which is

available in abundant quantity and even free of cost at the thermal power station.

• Disposal of fly ash is complicated.• It is highly polluting material.

73% power generated in INDIA is from Thermal Power and 90% of it is coal based.

Increase in FLYASH generation has grown from 4 crore to 11crore ton in the last decade and will rise even more in coming decade.

The flyash generated in thermal power station causes many hazardous diseases like Asthma, Tuberculosis etc.

Till date only 14% of the Fly Ash generated is being utilized

Fly Ash Problems

• It is a very difficult material to handle in dry state because it is very fine and readily airborne even in mild wind.

• It disturbs the ecology of the region, being a source of soil , air and water pollution.

• Inhalation of fly ash causes silicosis, fibrosis of lungs, bronchitis, pneumonia etc.

Page 9: Fly Ash Biz Plan

9

• Flying fine particles of ash create great nuisance for people living near power stations, corrode structural surfaces, and affects horticulture.

• Eventual settlement of fly ash particles over many hectares of land in the vicinity of power station brings about perceptible degeneration in soil characteristics.

• ECO bricks aims to promote Fly Ash bricks as an alternative to burnt clay brick within the construction sector in India. Fly ash is mixed with two other ingredients available as industrial byproducts:

• Lime from the acetylene industry, and

• Gypsum from chemical plants.

• FaL – G Brick which is well qualified as emission-abating project it receive the benefits of carbon credits.

Demand And Supply

• Currently the demand for bricks is very high than the supply.

• D & S gap is 250 billion bricks per annum• Raw material used for regular red bricks is limited.• Strategic step:

– Introducing Fly Ash Bricks to reduce demand and supply gap.

– Subsidies and orders from govt.

Page 17: Fly Ash Biz Plan

17

Existing Market Scenario

• Market is dominated by red bricks.• Current estimates show the very large gap

between demand and supply of fly ash bricks.• This project helps to reduce environment

pollution.
