Our mission is to improve the lives of children by strengthening the charities that serve them. We usea three-pronged strategy to achieve our goal.• Strengthen the Network

– The power of our organization is rooted in our ability to bring charities, companies, organizations and individuals together and uses the strength of our numbers to effect change.

• Provide Financial Support– We connect those with the vision to improve the lives of

children to those with the resources to make it happen.

• Raise Awareness– We shine a spotlight on the most critical issues facing children

today and help our members to better address them by engaging the general public.

In addition to these programs and services, National Child Awareness Month is a direct outgrowth of our efforts to enrich and showcase the work of children’s charities on a national scale.

National Child Awareness Month will raise awareness and focus America’s attention on four guiding principles.

• Nurture one child. That’s all it takes to make a difference.

• Children are the future of philanthropy. It’s our responsibility to teach them the importance of sharing and giving back.

• Actions speak louder than words. Find a children’s cause that’s important to you and get involved.

• Many hands make light work. So join forces with those who share your goals and dreams.

National Child Awareness Month will strengthen the charities that serve children.

• NCAM brings diverse charitable organizations together for a common goal.

– Under the umbrella of National Child Awareness Month, a wide variety of organizations can set aside their individual agendas to focus on the bigger picture of children in America today, and what is being done to address their growing challenges and needs.

• NCAM provides a national platform that sparks discussion and debate.

– National Child Awareness Month will impact the national agenda by putting the issues of utmost importance to children at the front and center, bringing new volunteers, contributions, thinking and energy to this important cause.

• NCAM brings the nation’s focus back to our children.

– Our nation’s attention has been diverted away from the one resource that guarantees greatness in the future - our children. NCAM will help redirect needed attention back to children.

September = back to school = kids

• September is the perfect month for National Child Awareness Month as it holds a special place in the minds of parents and kids alike. We are currently working to develop a special National Child Awareness Month curriculum with the school systems.

• A specific focus during this month will also provide an ideal opportunity to instill in our children the values that have always made our nation unique among the world’s citizens. Every child in America should have a first-hand opportunity to donate, volunteer and experience the rewards of giving back and paying forward.
