You: “A feeding tube.”
Person: “What’s that?” “Why?”
You: “Well, I can’t eat so I get liquid food through this. It’s a tube that goes down my throat, and to my tummy.
Person: “Cool”
What to say:Feeding tube (NG)
You: “Some people have glasses because they can’t see well, some have wheel chairs because they can’t walk, and I have a tube because I can’t eat.”
Person: (thinking)
Person: “That’s sad.”
What to say when: People ask“Are you better?!”
GP never will go away, sadly. So say or write “I’m okay. But I still having tummy troubles. I am feeling ************ right now.”
