K.D.F. Distribution (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., registered in Shanghai in 1998, is a wholly foreign owned

subsidiary of Feddersen Group, focusing on the distribution and market development of

engineering plastics within the Chinese market. In addition, we manage the production

of engineering plastic compounds, pipes & fittings and relevant animal nutrition products.

Shanghai and Suzhou

The Feddersen Group was founded in 1949; the sole ow-ner of all companies within the Feddersen Group is K.D. Feddersen Holding GmbH, whose own sole owner, the non-profit K.D. Feddersen Foundation, operates an as-sisted-living facility in Hamburg, Germany. Much of our earnings go towards supporting the work of the Foundation true to the motto of our company’s founder, Karl Detlef Feddersen: “Acting on behalf of people – ac-ting through global trade”.

Through years of committed efforts, we have been suc-cessfully serving domestic automobile manufacturers and their parts suppliers, as well as manufacturers of mobile phones, home and office appliances. We can help you choose the right plastic raw materials; we show you the effective and practical solutions for product develop-ment. Our experienced product engineers answer your technical questions and provide comprehensive support. We consider and understand your concerns with our

customer-centered distribution and production plan-ning, our supervision and analysis of orders, along with our logistics management, to ensure good quality of ser-vice to you.

We think of every detail. We deliver to suit your require-ments: 25 kg bags, cabins, entire combined lorry loads. Our products are there when you need them – not just in China, but also in Europe, Asia outside China and the Americas. Thanks to our customer-focused demand and delivery planning and monitoring and inspection of order fulfillment, we are able to provide all your products ef-ficiently and on time. In China we have more than 14 bonded & non-bonded warehouses. And we stock the most common products in large central warehouses and ship to customers.

We do business directly. We are local and available when you need us – with short response times guaranteed. We provide comprehensive technical support from the initi-al concept through to serial production. Our involvement commences at the project/application engineering pha-se with design, material selection, and process planning and testing. Once production is underway, we provide short, flexible lead times and a tailor-made efficient or-der and delivery program.

Our sister company, AKRO Engineering Plastics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., belonging to the Feddersen Group, was found-ed in 2005. Located in Wujiang, Jiangsu Province, the plant is producing PA 6 and PA 6.6 with the trademark AKROMID®. Upon completion of phase-I production the annual capacity will reach an annual output of 7,000 tons. The Suzhou factory is equipped with advanced twin-screw extruders identical to that used in German and Brazil factory, and employs the same formula and process, thereby guaranteeing consistency and stability of the product quality. We use these synergies genera-ted to benefit our customers: to better meet customer’s needs in terms of product grade, price, delivery cycle and the development of special materials etc.

We strive every day to meet the requirements of innova-tion and flexibility. We provide you with fast and effecti-ve on-site solutions from our extensive materials portfo-lio. We truly believe our spirit of dedication to customer service will enable your success!

Product rangeThe Feddersen Group today is globally positioned within a broad range of industries.

Over 800 employees around the world are working to ensure the success of the group.

Social responsibility for us not just a word but a matter of attitude.

Social commitment

K.D. Feddersen & Co., a wholesale and export trading company was established by Karl Detlef Feddersen in 1949. Mr. Feddersen´s marriage with his wife Mathilda Dora remained childless, so he decided to establish the K.D. Feddersen Foundation in 1958. After Mr. Feddersen

passed away, the K.D. Feddersen Foundation became so-le owner of the Feddersen Group. In 1985 K.D. Feddersen Holding GmbH replaced K.D. Feddersen Foundation as the sole shareholder of the company group in order to se-parate profit oriented and public benefit activities. K.D. Feddersen Foundation, operating an assisted-living facili-ty in Hamburg since 1985, became at the same time sole owner of K.D. Feddersen Holding GmbH. With our ear-nings, we contribute to a large extent to the work of the foundation. So far, the nursing home covers an area of 22,000 m², with more than 180 employees serving over 200 aged people. Nowadays, K.D. Feddersen’s public welfare programs ha-ve extended to China. Since 2014, K.D.F. Distribution (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has voluntarily sponsored and partici-pated in various kinds of public benefit activities already, like campus multimedia classroom construction, summer camping, education supporting in poor area, etc. We en-courage our employees join in those activities, starting making contributions to the society by themselves, even though most of which are trivial matters. This means an aspect of humanity which we also carry over to our daily contact with customers and suppliers, true to the motto of our company’s founder, Karl Detlef Feddersen: “Acting on behalf of people – acting through global trade”.

K.D. Feddersen Foundation – sheltered accommodation for the elderly in Hamburg, Germany.

In order to improve the Chinese education situation, K.D.F. Distribution (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. cooperated with a local charity foundation and donated a multimedia classroom named by K.D. Feddersen. The school is locate in Changzhou in the Jiangsu Province.
