    Day 01: Arrive Bagdogra PhuntsholingArrive Bagdogra Airport and you will be met, greeted by

    our representative and then make your way through

    Indias hub-hub to the border. You will pass through a

    gate and enter the Dragon Kingdom where youre met

    by your guide. We doubt that there is anywhere else on

    earth where you will have this experiencemayhem on

    one side of the border and calm on the other. Theres

    time for sightseeing before youre accommodated

    overnight.

    Day 02: Phuntsholing Thimphu

    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and drive to Thimpu. The

    journey commences with a climb into the foothills of the

    Himalayas, firstly visiting Kharbandi Gompa, a beautiful

    monastery from where you will enjoy splendid views of the

    plains of West Bengal. You then head off via switch-backs

    and mountain roads as you make your way to Thimphu,

    modern capital of Bhutan.

    Day 03: In Thimbu

    Morning after breakfast visit the Trashichhoedzong

    (fortress of the glorious religion), National Library, the

    Institute for Zorig Chusum (traditional arts and crafts)

    then, this afternoon, the National Memorial Chorten, thegovernment-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts

    shops.

    Day 04: Thimbu Punakha Thimbu

    Following breakfast, you will be driven up to the Dochu-la

    Pass (3088m), from where (on a clear day) you can view

    the peaks of Masagang(7158m), Tsendagang (6960m),

    Terigang (7060m), Jejegangphugang (7158m),Kangphugang (7170m), Zongphugang (7060m) and the

    highest of all - Gangkar Puensum (7497m).

    You visit Punakha Dzong, strategically located at the

    junction of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu Rivers. Built in

    1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, Punakha Dzong

    served as the religious and administrative centre of the

    region. Ravaged by fires and earthquake, the Dzong has

    been fully restored by the present King. Evening drive to Thimphu.

    Day 05: Thimbu Paro

    After breakfast, you travel back via Thimphu to Paro

    where you will stay for 2 nights. This afternoon, you visit

    Ta Dzong, now housing the National Museum which

    displays antique thangkha paintings, textiles, weapons and

    a rich assortment of historic artifacts. You then walk to

    Rinpung Dzong, which has a long and fascinating history.

    You drive to Drukgyel Dzong, a ruined fortress whereBhutanese warriors fought Tibetan invaders centuries ago.

    You then continue to Taktsang, the most famous of

    Bhutanese monasteries which is widely known as Tigers

    Nest. On your return journey to Paro, youll visit Kyichu

    Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines in

    Day 06: Paro PhuntsholingAfter breakfast, start the day early for drive to Haa via

    Chele-la pass. 4 Km away at Bondey village the road to Haa

    diverts towards the right hand side and ascends towardsthe chele-la pass starts. After driving through blue pine &

    rhododendron forest for 45 km, reach Chele-la pass ( 4200

    meters). From this point one can have superb views of Mt.

    Chomolhari & Jichu Drakey. This is a very good place to

    walk around for few minutes enjoying the view.

    Drive on to Haa, if time permits visit to the famous

    Monastery of Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) followed by

    visit to Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple).

    Day 07: Phuntsholing BagdograAfter breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey
