FROM RODEO

RODEO: 'HOE-DOWN’
Aaron studied composition in France.
The piece was originally composed for a
ballet, which premiered in 1942 and is still
danced today, but was later arranged in an
orchestral suite.
There are four sections in this work

Saturday Night Waltz
Hoe-Down
THE STORY OF HOE-DOWN The story is based on
tomboyish cow-girl trying to
get attention from men at
the Saturday Night Dance.
She gets invited to dance
by a roper and wrangler.
She chooses the roper
and the music Hoe-Down
captures the drama.
